[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Microwave is as expected. Previously had a GE that was 23 years old. So definitely decided to get another one. The installation of the built-in components was a bit trickier than expected, especially lining up the top versus the bottom parts. But once that was figured out, the actual installation of the microwave into the built in part was straightforward.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design is slick and certainly looks more attractive than my precious GE Profile microwave, especially when built in with the surround (you have to buy it separately and it includes the metal tray you need to install it). A note about a surround: There are two plastic parts on the back that extend too far and need to be removed to make the surround fit. Also note that the surround avoids ugly vents by hiding them at the top, bottom and sides. That’s why the surround is thick we than older versions. At any rate, the whole setup looks great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Capacity is great and it is easy to use. My last GE profile microwave (comparable to this one) lasted 8 years. I wish the inside was lighter and/or the light inside was brighter making it easier to see inside. This newer model has a door lock, but the instructions to disengage it were simple. Since it is a built in model, I don't know why that is important.

Less than 2 years old and the product no longer heats. All fuses have checked out as working. Now I'm stuck buying a new one because of the trim kit. Wherever you buy this microwave, make sure you get the warranty. You will need it!

The grey interior coupled with the low watt incandecant bulb makes for a dark interior. It is very loud. We replaced a JE1860BH that gave out afer 18 years. Quieter that its replacement, the interior was a light color providing a well light interior.

We are glad to assist with the sound level of your microwave. The sound you are referring to may be the internal fan. A fan where the internal components are located will run continuously while the microwave is in operation to constantly circulate the air to cool the working parts. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had it serviced twice as the revolving platter is making a grinding noise. GE sent someone to repair it by replacing one part. After they left it was doing the same thing. The second time we were told that that was normal and that the grinding sounds were OK. I guess we gave up after that- I know that that is not normal. I don’t think it will last through the warranty period

We'd like to assist with the turntable of your microwave. Make sure the turntable is seated securely on the ring. Also check the turntable to make sure it is placed right side up. If the turntable plate is upside down, it will drag on the floor of the microwave. You can also see if there is any food or debris under the wheels of the turntable ring. Lastly, try unplugging the unit for 5 minute and plugging it back in to reset it.
