This was the most hideous purchase
I love the stainless, but you cannot fill your trash bags. They get caught on the interior plastic structure and rip open if you pull them out. I am having to reach in and compress both front and back in order to remove my trash without ripping open the bag. I am throwing this away and buying another trash can. This was the most hideous expensive purchase for a useless kitchen tool.

Hard to remove full trash bag
Like the flush lid which keeps our dog out of the trash, however lid and lid housing do not open to a full 90 degrees which makes pulling a full trash bag out difficult

Inside lip makes this a no go! Rips bags!!
It is a beautiful trash can and it compliments the kitchen appliances very well. The top is nice and flat which keeps the dogs from getting into the can. But it has a lip inside the can and when you try and get the bag out the bag rips and the trash gets caught on the lip inside. Would not recommend!

Dented and scratched
The whole side of this trash can is dented along with scratches on the lid. To pay that much for something you would expect it to come to your doorstep in good condition. What do you do? Order another one just for it to be dented too? tried seeing if I could buy it in store and it's an online only product. My recommendation is to not order this product online. Can't believe how it came!! The box wasn't dented either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product. Its style is sleek and can go with most any kitchen decor style. The hands free function is fabulous and makes for more sanitary processes in the kitchen. Only warning is don’t overfill the can and then try to empty, it obviously does not flex like a plastic can and the bag will rip easily of there are items jammed into the can with harsh/sharp edges.

Love the wide step
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice Stainless steel garbage can. I like the wide step pedal. unlike another, I have that is very narrow this one goes almost all across the whole can. It makes it easier to open and close. I like most the fast the inset comes out to clean the inside of the can, The size is perfect for using for kitchen trash. It cleans nice and doesn't steak when wiping. I haven't had any issues with the bag slipping down inside even when the trash is full. I like that it keeps my trash hidden and keeps the dog out of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using a motion censor trash can for years and finally got tired of the batteries and cheap motor in the top that burns out every 6 months. This Hefty stainless with a foot handle is much more reliable. The sleek design is very modern but still fits in well with my historic kitchen. The slow-close top keeps the loud banging to a minimum and no hands are required to use. Stainless is thick with no dents or dings. I’m much happier with this Hefty than my old motion sensor can. Highly recommend this one!

Old trash can was sort of plain looking so my wife and I got this to make the kitchen look a bit nicer. The whisper quiet of the top is most impressive when you step on the lever to open, and once deposited, slowly closes equally silent. A 13 gallon trash bag fits nicely and is secured with the ring to hold in place and not slip around. Equally nice feature. Finally, having a removable bottom tray to clean any leaks makes this receptacle a win-win for Hefty!

Sturdy and Stylish
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the 52.2L Stainless Waste step trash can by Hefty, and at first glance I love the look of it with its stainless appearance and black base and black around the lid. I was concerned that the step you use to open it would have smudge marks after repeated use (as it is stainless) but it does not. We tend to walk barefoot in the house and it still did not smudge. The can itself is easy to wipe down. The bag fits in securely, and is held open wide to allow larger items to be discarded.
