not what I was hoping
Wanted to replace a broken serrated knife that is a 6" knife. Saw this was the right size and has a good brand name. Saw similar knife on different web site but had slight difference in materials (although same brand name on knives, and sizes - the other was more than half the price of this one from Target). Purchased this one based on material quality. This knife does not cut well for my purposes: toasted crusty baguette, limes, and tomatoes - this is what I have tried it on so far. I purchased a smaller knife of another well known brand - it cuts much better, however the blade isn't long enough to work on everything I used my old broken knife for. The Henckel has a nice weight, maybe a little heavy. It just drags through the item being cut - I don't know if that is a function of the serrations being short/close together or maybe the blad is wider - either way, it doesn't cut well in my opinion and I wish I could return it but doubt I can as I had to rip into the packaging to get it out and recycled it. I have another Henckel knife and it works very well, disappointed with this one.

Disappointed
Terrible...not even as sharp as a 20yr old serrated utility knife I was replacing. Not sure I can still return it after 2 use, but I'm going to try. Can't believe the 4 and 5 stars reviews!

High quality German steel cutlery does not always need to come with a huge price tag. This knife is fully forged, and a nice stylish brushed metal which has the look of a much more expensive knife. Use this daily to cut and slice vegetables, fruits, breads, rolls, and sandwiches. This knife is an invaluable tool and it definitely gets a great work out in my kitchen.

I use the serrated utility a lot in my kitchen, mostly on tomatoes, but it is best for any fruit or vegetable that has a tough outside and a soft inside. It can also be used on small rolls and small baguettes for slicing as well. The handle is very comfortable and ergonomic, which means fatigue-free cutting!

A good quality serrated tomato knife at a great price. The dark textured handle and the polished smooth corners make this knife a great value.

Also known as a tomato knife, this one will cut your citrus, avocados, peppers and so much more! Also perfect for rolls, french bread and sweet breads with soft insides. No need to sharpen, as serrated never need it. Nice smooth, graphite handle for easy grip and comfort.

The Graphite collection is a nice way to get a high quality forged knife at a value price point. Forged from high quality stainless steel these knives are corrosion resistant and retain a nice sharp edge. The full stainless steel style is clean and modern and the handle is brushed so it has a nonslip feel even when wet. The five inch serrated knife is great for tomatoes, citrus, sandwich cutting and anything that has a harder exterior with a softer center.

No maintenance required
Forged from high quality German steel, this knife has a great weight and feel. The curved handle is very comfortable, as well as being modern and chic. The serrated utility is a go to knife for many; designed for anything hard on the outside and soft on the inside. Tomatoes, oranges, slicing sandwhiches or slicing a packing of sausage. Serrated knives never need to be sharpened so their maintenance free.

Serrated utility knives are great to have around for cutting tomatoes, cheese, small loaves of bread and citrus fruit. This one is a good knife for the value and has a slightly textured handle for a secure grip.

'Must have' kitchen knife.
With its very modern sleek design, this line of all metal knives is excellent. The quality of the steel, the workmanship of the fully forged blades with integrated bolster makes the knife comfortable and easy to work with whether you’re cooking for one or prepping for a banquet. These knives are well worth the money. Comfortable handle with a little heft to it for good tactile feel. This serrated utility knife is excellent for slicing tomatoes, ripe fruit and crusty baguettes. Slices a sandwich cleanly. Easily maintained. This knife, with its serrated edge, will keep its edge indefinitely. Dishwasher safe.
