Q: The remote won’t turn the tv on despite doing battery replacements and full resets. The remote performs all other commands pointed at or away from the tv but you have to use the button on the bottom of the tv for on. How can that be fixed?

Q: TV turned on by itself! any time during the night with a loud volume, I jumped from by bed, changed the batteries, hide the remote , nothing works I even looked at the TV setting anyone having same issue
A: Hi Sruz, thank you for reaching out about Hisense 55" 4K UHD Smart Google TV - 55A7N We apologize for the issue you are experiencing and have a few suggestions that may help: Check the timer: Go to Settings, then Timers, then On timer and make sure it's off. Update the TV software: Check for the latest TV software update. Disable CEC: Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) allows devices to control each other over HDMI. When CEC is misbehaving, it can cause your TV to turn on and off for no reason. You can disable CEC in your TV's settings menu. Update the TV software: Ensure you've installed the latest software/firmware from Google and Hisense. Q: Why won’t the remote control turn the tv on? It has to be inches from the base sensor of the tv and directly in front to work. The same problem does not exist for turning it off. The batteries have been replaced.

We apologize for the issue you are experiencing and have a few suggestions that may help: Try replacing your batteries to the remote. If you still have issues try repairing to the TV -keep the remote control within 10 feet (304.8 cm) from the TV, hold and at the same time at least 3 seconds to start pairing. • If your remote control fails to pair with TV, check the Bluetooth is set On by pressing button to select Settings > Remotes & Accessories > Bluetooth Visibility to On. • This function may not be applicable in some models/countries/regions. • If an error occurred while trying to pair the remote control, it could have been caused by interference. Try to remove what is causing the interference and try pairing again. • If an error occurred with the remote control while using sufficiently charged batteries, you can take out the batteries for 1~2 seconds then insert them back again.
