A: Hello! We do not recommend painting Sauder furniture. We use a top coating that may cause premature peeling. Sauder's Limited-Warranty will become void if any modification is made to the furniture such as painting the furniture or applying a new finish.

A: Sauder products are manufactured with engineered wood. This is a material made of hard and soft wood bound together with resin. Each shelf is rated for 25lbs each, the bottom shelf is rated for 50lbs.

It's bad enough that I spent over $200 for one cabinet but then I have to assemble it. The back panel was too short so I had to use a piece of trim that I had to hide the gap at the bottom of the cabinet. Once it was fully assembled the door is a 1/4" lower on the left side and the door closes with a 2 inch gap. I would have to buy a latch to keep this thing closed.

This does not stand plumb. I had to put braces on the back of it because it is so flimsy. The back is a piece of cardboard. The door is crooked. If I could have gotten it back downstairs to return it, I would have. Very poor quality.

The directions were great. I made one mistake though, putting the top on put the finished slde up ! Left it together that way rather than take it apart. Also one hole did not line up to fasten to the stationary shelf. Caused the nail to break the edge of the shelf.

After I put together the first cabinet the other two cabinets were very easy to put together. Functioning as coat and miscellaneous Cabinet in our foyer. The produce is sturdy and well bult in use for about one month.

Overall a nice looking and well constructed cabinet that is very easy to assemble. The only problem is the hinges could not be adjusted enough to prevent the door from rubbing on the bottom. The pre drilled screw holes were slightly out of proper position. Other than that assembly was flawless.

I'm using it as a food pantry. It was pretty easy to assemble. The only problem we had was the back piece F on the manual did not line up. It's only a backer so it doesn't really hurt anything
