A: Hello! We do not recommend painting Sauder furniture. We use a top coating that may cause premature peeling. Sauder's Limited-Warranty will become void if any modification is made to the furniture such as painting the furniture or applying a new finish.

A: Sauder products are manufactured with engineered wood. This is a material made of hard and soft wood bound together with resin. Each shelf is rated for 25lbs each, the bottom shelf is rated for 50lbs.

I have built 2 of these for extra storage. I am not very happy with the quality of the materials. It describes it as engineered wood. It is basically press board with a very thin board to attach to the back. I was expecting better quality material than it is. The ability to adjust shelve heights is great. I also like the size of it. Just wish it was made from better material. I am skeptical how long it will last.

Unit was good and easily put together. Unit was solid except the door to the cabinet. All but one corner of the door was glued tightly. The other corners of the door were not glued and came apart so door wouldn't shut properly.

This cabinet works perfectly for our small laundry area and looks great. Wasn't too difficult to build, but needed two of us. Can't comment on durability as we've only had it one day, but it is definitely functional.

It's bad enough that I spent over $200 for one cabinet but then I have to assemble it. The back panel was too short so I had to use a piece of trim that I had to hide the gap at the bottom of the cabinet. Once it was fully assembled the door is a 1/4" lower on the left side and the door closes with a 2 inch gap. I would have to buy a latch to keep this thing closed.

This does not stand plumb. I had to put braces on the back of it because it is so flimsy. The back is a piece of cardboard. The door is crooked. If I could have gotten it back downstairs to return it, I would have. Very poor quality.

The directions were great. I made one mistake though, putting the top on put the finished slde up ! Left it together that way rather than take it apart. Also one hole did not line up to fasten to the stationary shelf. Caused the nail to break the edge of the shelf.
