Good family sized box. It lasts a while but gets stale if you don’t finish it in 2 weeks or so.

Love the taste ,don't love high amounts of pesticides found in cheerios. If we could get rid of the pesticides , this cereal would be great!(* also minus bioengineering of ingredients)

General Mills remains committed to food safety, and to making foods like Cheerios that are safe and healthy. We will continue to work closely with farmers, our suppliers, and conservation organizations to minimize the use of pesticides on the crops and ingredients we use in our foods while Biotechnology is the science whereby the DNA of an organism is modified to favor the expression of desirable traits as the organism grows. For food, this mostly refers to genetic alterations to crops like sugar beet, corn, soy, and canola to better equip those crops to thrive even when growing conditions might not be ideal. On the question of safety – our number one priority – there is broad global consensus among food and safety regulatory bodies that approved genetically modified/bioengineered ingredients are safe. The World Health Organization, the FAO, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Health Canada have all weighed in on this question – and all have found that the approved bioengineered crops are as safe and acceptable as their conventional counterparts.

I have eaten Honey Nut Cheerios since I was a kid. I still buy this brand for our household because it’s good for you. However my household gets upset bc they like other brands better. Well today my partner was finishing the rest of the cereal and something strange poured out. Picture is attached. This thing is hard and feels like plastic. To say the least It will be even harder to get my family to eat this brand again.

why I am seeing bioengineered on packages isn’t cool

Thanks for reaching out with your concerns! Today, if an American food or beverage product lists corn, soy, canola, cottonseed or beet sugar as an ingredient and the product is not organic, it likely contains genetically modified/bioengineered ingredients. Rest assured, safety is our number one priority. We find broad global consensus among food and safety regulatory bodies that approved genetically modified/bioengineered ingredients are safe. We hope this information is helpful to you.

Honey Nut Cheerios , We all love the taste , I liked that you shaped them like harts , we even eat it as a dry snack , and on the go , a small hand full in a zip lock bag , for driving , walking , hiking , boating , hunting and much more , it's a great tasting dry snack to go. all this gets a 5 star , BUT the added sugars amount is just to high , especially to call it a healthy cereal and or dry snack choice , we had eaten it for many years , but to much sugar to keep eating it , so please get the sugars down to 3 gr or less ( now is 12 gr ) this would make it a much more healthier snack , even if you use some healthier sugar substitute , this would get you 5 stars for every thing .

Could Do With Less Sugar

First of all, I enjoy this breakfast cereal very much. I switched over from Frost** Fl*** because of the high sugar content in the Fl***. However, to my dismay, I realised that Honey Nut Cheerios had the same amount of sugars. To fix this, I mix a bag of Honey Nut with regular Cheerios to give me a "sweet enough" cereal for half the sugars. It would save me an awful lot of bother if Honey Nut Cheerios were simply made with half the sugar! So much healthier! Please give this some consideration, General Mills!

Your cereal is tasty, but we are letting you know that we as consumers are disappointed in your high amounts of weed killer in your products. If it is there, put it in the ingredients list so people know the risk. It is known to give people cancer. Please don't try to hide this: take responsibility and make a change. Maybe offer an organic option if you cannot change all recipes. Thank you for listening.

General Mills top priority is food safety and has been for over 150 years. Most crops grown in fields use some form of pesticides and trace amounts are found in the majority of food we all eat. Experts at the FDA and EPA determine the safe levels for food products. These are very strict rules that we follow as do farmers who grow crops. We continue to work closely with farmers, our suppliers, and conservation organizations to minimize the use of pesticides on the ingredients we use in our foods. If you are looking for an organic alternative, we recommend our Organic products Annie’s, Cascadian Farm, Liberté, Lärabar, and Muir Glen. Glyphosate is not approved for use in organic food production, as the standards of the National Organic Program do not allow for the use of synthetic pesticides
