Chex Gluten Free Honey Nut Breakfast Cereal - 12.5oz - General Mills

This flavor has changed. It used to be very honey flavored while not being overly sweet. I just purchased a box and I barely taste anything besides the bland corn cereal. I'm saddened by this as it's been one of my favorites for a long time and now I'm pretty sure I'll never buy a box again.

No honey nut flavor at all. Very thick and just a heavy corn flavor

It's delicious and my favorite cereal of all time. Hard to find though in my area! I have to order it online.

Add honey, molasses and sugar to this cereal? The honey would have been enough. Honey is natural and sweet enough where you don't need additional sugar and molasses.

I tried this product for the first time and found that the taste was unappealing. I threw the remainder of the box out.

Love this cereal… but the PRICE for the amount is terrible. Have to wait for sales which rarely happen! Come on Target and General Mills; be the leaders and lower prices!!!!!

I have no idea how many cereals I've tried since being diagnosis as a prediabetic. 😐 I also have Gerd, due to Gerd, just about all foods that I once enjoyed, now burn my stomach tremendously. I can no longer eat the foods that I once enjoyed; my diet has changed drastically. I am addicted to sugar and it's been very hard to let it go but I now literally FEEL the unhealthy effects of sugar that I've been flooding my body with for many years. I say alllll of that to say - I've read a number of comments from unsatisfied customers regarding the lack of sweetness and that's the reason that I tried this cereal!!!!😆😆 Honey, le'me tell you, DING, DING, DING........Honey Chex is the Winner for Me!!!!!!!! 🎉🥳🥳 I certainly know that due to my prediabetic diagnosis, I certainly can't eat it every day but it definitely will be an occasional breakfast option for me!!!!! I L 🥣 V E this cereal!!! It's tasteful imo and it doesn't burn my stomach!!!!!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 It is hard as others have said but I have always stirred my cereal in the water for awhile before eating it, to soften it a bit; I simply do the same with this cereal. 🤷 Oh yeah, yes, I did say "water" 😁 I can no longer drink milk so I simply use water in my cereal and I promise, there's no less satisfaction for me! I don't crave nor miss eating cereal with milk! 🤷 Anddddddd, the fact that it lacks the amount of sugar (or the sweetness) that many look for in a cereal is a Plus 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 for me!!!! I have FINALLY found my cereal! PLEASE don't add or change anything!!!! This will be my breakfast and my occasional treat also!!!! 😉 😋 🍯🍯🍯😋

Don't waste your money if you want a honey sweet flavor! For my diet I eat gluten-free/soy-free which limits a lot of processed foods. Anyways this WAS one of my guilty pleasures, past tense. I purchased a couple boxes that will be returned. Thought I was imagining, my taste buds where off but nope...they changed their recipe and this cereal no longer has a SWEET HONEY flavor. So bland I may as we'll be eating CORN FLAKES. Goodbye my old late night snack friend 😢

A kids' cereal that contains bioengineered ingredients and it's not even disclosed anywhere on the Target product listing page. Very disappointed!

I have always liked honey nut chex with just the right sweetness and not having to add sugar to it. But dang, I bought my first box of it again recently and went to eat it, only to be followed with such disappointment! It was so hard yet like eating cardboard. I want to throw it in the trash but hate wasting money. Certainly worth taking it back to the store to get my money back. Just wow, no one seems to care or have standards with their products anymore.

I’ve never tasted this cereal before, is the best thing I have ever had in a cereal. It’s very delicious, not too sweet, just the right amount of honey nuts in this case almonds. It’s delicious.

This cereal is very heavy and hard to chew. Even milk doesn't make it softer. Also, the taste is bland and unappetizing. I was expecting a lot more. Maybe if the coating was lighter it would help to make it easier to eat.

It barely tastes like anything, barely has any flavor at all, tastes basically almost pretty plain and boring especially after the cereal is in the milk for not even that long and even if you drink the milk after the milk barely even tastes like anything and has barely any flavor. It's really sad as I'm pretty sure I have Celiac and my stomach hurts every time I have gluten even if it's the tiniest bit and I got a weak positive on a gluten antigen test wish there were way more and way better gluten free options for people like me who can't eat gluten.

I see a lot of reviews here saying that General Mills “ruined” this cereal, so this is a review from someone trying these for the first time. I bought a family size box and regret it because these are indistinguishable from plain corn Chex. There is zero honey nut taste of any kind. I should have just saved my money and bought plain corn chex. Avoid.

Something has definetly changed in the last few months. This new Chex is really heave and hard to eat. The texture is completely different than what it use to be. I thought it was just me, but the other recent reviews confirm that I’m not just imagining it. The new box that has the white on it clearly has an updated recipe and I hate it!

It has a sweet, bitter flavor that tastes nothing like honey or nuts. Cereal is absolutely horrid. I am calling tomorrow to complain to the company, because there is no way this is how the cereal is supposed to taste. I love every other flavor of Chex I’ve tried.
