HyperX Could Alpha Wireless Gaming Headset for PC - Black

These are some really good headphones. I use these primarily for PC gaming with voice chat. Audio in the headphones is very clear and has a good balance of bass & treble. Good mic as well; my buddy who I game with can hear me clearly. The cushions are also pretty comfortable. I’ve gamed several hours at a time while wearing glasses with minimal to no discomfort. The HyperX PC app is very intuitive. It helps control settings like mic monitoring (which I usually turn on) and equalizer and shows an accurate battery percentage. Battery life is crazy long. I been using these approx. a month off the initial charge, gaming around 20-30 hours a week and I still have about 60% charge.

Ive used this for two years, and i have to charge it once every 6 months or so. Battery is made with magic or something. The sound quality is very good, but not anything special with crazy bass boost or surround sound. Personally fits very snug for my head. Microphone is sensitive and reliable. There are no downloadable drivers. Quality wireless headset with the craziest battery I've seen compared to other ones at Target.

I bought this headset because HP would take them back if I didn't like them. Every store in my city would not take headsets back after opening, and my problem is that most wireless headsets are not loud enough for me. Initially this was also the case with the Cloud Alpha Wireless. 100% volume and can't hear anything. Then I found the FXSound app, downloaded it and then played around with the settings until I got the headset to sound great...and loud. Now I play with volume at 30% and it is plenty. The wireless range is pretty good, and the battery life is legendary. I would recommend these to others, 100%

These work great. I bought them because I am going deaf but they are great for me. I can actually hear people sneaking up on me.

I went to the store and bought it, only the headset was here.

The clamp strength was so strong that I had head aches in 30 minutes. If you wear glasses, forget about getting these headphone. It's a real shame too because the battery life was so good.

Fantastic audio. The soundstage and imaging are incredible. NGenuity is not as bad as everyone says. My only issue has been it's not the most comfortable headset. But it's a small enough trade off for the audio.

Reached my limit with this. From the getgo I spent about an hour troubleshooting getting it to work. This product has trouble connecting from certain ports on your machine. Felt fine about it for the following 45 days after purchase, noticing a marginal upgrade in sound quality from my previous headset (corsair void rgb elite) until it randomly got stuck in pairing mode and there seems to be no way to fix it. Thought the extra I was splurging was for an upgrade, but it turned out to be a BIG downgrade. I'll be sticking with Corsair from now on, because a dongle that bends yet remains functional is preferable to this hunk of junk.

Exactly what I hoped battery life is insane range is great and comfort is a 9/10. Would be 10/10 but they do get warm over time.

Honestly everything I hoped for. The metal prevents these from breaking (have broken 4 other headphones. The sound quality is phenomenal. Really enjoying these.

Headset was a total disappointment. Sound goes out every 20 minutes and to make the sound work requires removing the dongle and placing it back in along with restarting the headset. Not a good experience. Older headset works better and cost 1/2 as much.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my fiancé and to say he’s in love is an understatement. Not only is the mic way better quality than his old headset, he’s used it on and off for about 3 weeks now and still has yet to need to charge it.

Easy set up on PS5 just plug the dongle in and turn it on. Also amazing battery life, still at 100% after 6 hours of gaming! Sound is unbelievable, very clear without lag. Very comfortable to wear for long gaming sessions. Would definitely recommend for any PS5 user!

Comfortable to wear and great quality sound.

Ive had them for over a month now and I just charged them for the first time (except the initial charge). The battery is actually insane and the sound quality is very good. They also isolate outside sounds very well while being super comfy

This wireless headset is a solid choice on the market. The battery is insane but sound randomly seems to go out mid gameplay and I’m not sure why.

Exactly what you expect from HyperX, sounds good, battery as expected. HOWEVER, occasionally I get noticeably high lag or the left and right channels switch, which is problematic for competitive gaming, but most of the time it's fine. I also wish the notification beeps/power on/off voice respected the last known device volume because right now it sounds like someone trying to talk to you in a crowded room with their mouth 1 inch from your ear, except the room is silent and they're yelling anyway.

The battery on this thing is epic!!! And the sound quality is right with it. The price though, I’m not a fan, but for the battery life and quality I’ve seen, I can understand it.

The sound quality, comfort, and obviously the battery life is astounding. Build quality is stellar. Metal frames like this should be standard. My previous plastic headsets all eventually snapped. The Ngenuity software needs work. Currently, you can’t game with Surround or Equalizer. If you do, you will notice a significant input lag for the headphones. So leave them off for gaming. Additionally, when waking the PC from sleep, the headset will usually have crackling distortion that can only be fixed by replugging the USB. When doing this, it resets the idle timer. So it goes from “Never” in my case back to 20 minutes. I bought HyperX over Logitech because Logitech unfortunately has terrible software now. HyperX’s software issues are relatively minor but hopefully will get fixed. Maybe my review will make them go faster?
