A: Thank you for contacting IMUSA, once the coffee has brewed to the frother sign on the coffee carafe you must turn the dial to the frother sign and submerge your milk in order to foam it.

A: I make "regular" coffee with mine all the time. It's normally called "Americano" style... 50% espresso, 50% hot water. Of course, unlike a traditional coffee maker, that means you're making one cup at a time.

A: No, it doesn't come with a tamper. But for what it's worth, most of the time, I don't tamp. Reaaly depends on the type of beans you use, as tamping does let you adjust flow rate. It's a bit of a controversy amongst espresso fans. Some swear by it, others claim it's unnecessary.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off I wanna say Thanks to IMUSA for sending me the IMUSA 4 Cup Electric Espresso/Cappuccino Maker for free to review. After unboxing I was struck by the machines small footprint. Its not much larger than a large box of quart size freezer bags. More or less. Its definitely a space saver if counter top room is limited. It's a very uncomplicated machine. Set up and use is a cinch. First you measure out the coffee up to 4 servings into the basket. Then insert the basket into the machine and twist to lock. Measure amt to brew into the carafe and pour into the tank and seal it up. Plug in and rotate selector to the cup icon and wait.Bingo. A fresh serving within 2 mins. I haven't yet used the Cappuccino option yet as Im not a huge fan of this option. But it makes a strong delicious cup of Espresso. Id hafta to say the only thing I didn't like was having to plug and unplug at each use. Other than that Id say it was a good experience. Oh yeah,maybe some other colors. Black is kind of boring.

So I told myself ... you need an espresso machine. I have been obsessed with iced coffee so I got a ninja. It takes up a lot of counter space in my apartment so it's difficult to maneuver around. When I was selected for this Imusa electric espresso product for my review I was like yessss, let's see how this works. 1. I could not get the filter basket in correctly so I dump espresso grounds everywhere (nothing new to me because I always make a mess). 2. I decided why not make a latte. 3. Couldn't get my milk frothy. Well I needed to add more water in order for the steam to work. But all in all it does what it is supposed to do. For the price, I think it could be something recommended for someone on a budget and wanted an espresso machine. I am interested to see what other products Imusa has.

I have used pod machines before, but this experience and taste was vastly better! I like that there's less waste, I use the rxaxt amount of of ground espresso that I need. I can make delicious iced coffee drinks with the espresso shots and hot cappuccinos in a matter of minutes. There's nothing too complicated about the setup, process or clean up. I'd recommend this to anyone on a budget that what's a quality espresso maker that's easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] . Brews a nice espresso. It's pretty simple to use; just load the metal filter with the desired amount of coffee and lock it into place. The water is then poured into the reservoir in the rear of the machine. After this you simply turn the button to the imprint of the cup on the dial and the espresso begins to brew resulting in a steaming carafe of tasty espresso. The filter is a bit difficult to lock in as there are no imprints on the machine as to where to lock the basket . This gets easier with use. My only major complaint is that there is no automatic shut off after the brewing process. You MUST turn the knob back to the off position or the machine reservoir stays very hot for hours.

Speaking of how this machine makes coffee, I can say that it makes a good espresso. The machine heats quickly and makes the coffee quickly. It also has the option to heat the milk (milk frother) So far, I haven't been able to get it to make a firm foam to make a cappuccino, but what I have managed to do is heat the milk and get a light foam. The machine comes with its measurements; you just need to have well-ground coffee and know your preferred measurement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used it to make both iced coffee and hot cup of coffee. I think it would have been a good idea to have product samples that can be used with the machine. I used instant coffee, used the glass pot that came with it, filled it up to 4 cup mark and poured the water onto the resovoir on top of the machine. I used the scoop that came with it, I like my coffee strong so I used 2 scoops and put that in the filter basket, then placing that in the brewing head. Plug it in and turn the button to up symbol and it begins to brew in about 2 minutes . If you want to froth your milk , turn the knob to the steaming and put your cup of creamer or milk under the steam nozzle, then turn it back to the cup symbol so it can finish brewing. Once your done, fix your drink however you'd like. Before unplugging turn the knob to the steam function to release any pressure that may be left behind in the machine.

I would highly recommend this machine. The directions are easy to understand and all the parts work great with the exception of the seal that has shifted and let some steam release, so I had to restart but that's likely a user error not manufacturing issue.
