  • A: Thank you for contacting IMUSA, once the coffee has brewed to the frother sign on the coffee carafe you must turn the dial to the frother sign and submerge your milk in order to foam it.

  • A: Personnally I think those built-in frothers are over rated, and more trouble than they're worth. I just heat the milk separately and use a frothing wand. Best $2 investment ever.

  • A: I make "regular" coffee with mine all the time. It's normally called "Americano" style... 50% espresso, 50% hot water. Of course, unlike a traditional coffee maker, that means you're making one cup at a time.

Q: does it come with coffee tamper? Is that needed or we can use it without that?

  • A: No, it doesn't come with a tamper. But for what it's worth, most of the time, I don't tamp. Reaaly depends on the type of beans you use, as tamping does let you adjust flow rate. It's a bit of a controversy amongst espresso fans. Some swear by it, others claim it's unnecessary.

  • A: Tamping is not recommended as this is not a true espresso maker that utilizes pump-driven pressure. It is steam driven at a mere 5-bar so tamping might result in the machine choking or not brewing at all.

    Easy to use, good quality

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is really easy to use and manage it was my first time using it. I love the fact that is simple to choose the settings and the knob. The only downfall is that I cannot remove to wash the grill for the drip, but other than that perfect heat perfect size not to bulky and just overall great.

    Small and mighty

    Perfect for coffee lovers!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this IMUSA 4 Cup Electric Espresso and Cappuccino Maker for free from Bzzagent in exchange for an honest review. I love coffee, so I was super excited to get this! I've never had, or even used, an espresso machine, so at first I was a little nervous about using it. The instructions felt daunting after just reading them the first time. But as I started using it WHILE reading the instructions, it was actually pretty easy to use. I love making cappuccinos using this! The milk frother and steamer is a great feature because it makes the milk perfectly warm and frothy so you can just pour it on top of the espresso to get the perfect cappuccino. I love being able to make espresso so I can then create so many different coffee drinks. I also love how it comes with a spoon to scoop the perfect amount of coffee into the filter. I usually make a couple drinks, so I mostly make 4 shots of espresso, but I love that I can choose to make just 2 shots if I want to make a drink just for myself, and the carafe makes it easy to measure it out. I also absolutely love that it's not a bulky machine. My countertop space is limited, so I appreciate a space-saving coffee maker like this! I'm really loving this espresso and cappuccino maker and I plan on using this often, so it has a permanent space in my kitchen!

    Compact and easy to use

    Cafe-Style Coffee at Home!

It was pretty easy to use and the results were absolutely amazing! The expresso was strong (just how I like) and the cappuccino, in my personal opinion, tasted better than any cappuccino I have ever had! The milk foam was fluffy and airy. I LOVED it!! The only recommendation I would make is just more clarity in using the milk brother (what size cup to use) and maybe an extra stainless steel filter if possible. Overall, I highly recommend!!

    It's great for the price!

    Great for a beginner

I received this item for free in exchange for a review. I have used this to make hot and iced drinks and it is a great entry level option. I was able to customize the strength of espresso and appreciated I could make one cup at a time to truly customize it. The milk frother was a balance to get the right consistency and texture, think cappuccino instead of cold foam. This is a great budget option if you want to make espresso at home.

    Small but Mighty

    Simple to use. Solid value!

    Big flavor, small footprint!

    Almost

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Imusa espresso and cappuccino maker. Its compact and makes up to 4 cups and has a frother. The retail price is great but unfortunately if you're looking for a true espresso maker this isn't exactly what you want. This maker has 5 bar pressure whereas a true espresso maker has 8-9 bar pressure, if i remember correctly. The espresso was OK. A little watery but I'll have to play with it a few more times and see if i can find the right coffee grounds, which also could be the issue. Its not a bad little maker especially for a beginner or someone looking for a small maker. If you're not a novice drinker this may not be the one for you

    Easy setup

It's super compact and doesn't take a lot of counter space and is also not bulky. The setup is easy and once coffee is in place you just turn the knob and dome. The espresso was really good and only took about 4 minutes or less to get done.

The design was fairly compact so it doesn't take up too much counter space. Overall I would recommend this maker as it seems like it would be very convenient for everyday use. With coffee often being expensive when you buy it from a coffee shop this is a great way to save some money making coffee at home.

    Quick and easy to use

    Fancy coffee everyday

    Home Barista!!
