  • A: Thank you for contacting IMUSA, once the coffee has brewed to the frother sign on the coffee carafe you must turn the dial to the frother sign and submerge your milk in order to foam it.

  • A: If you're asking if this is one of those machines that will grind the coffee for you, then that's a definite no. I'd definitely recommend grinding fresh over buying preground stuff, so for that, yes you'll need a grinder.

  • A: I make "regular" coffee with mine all the time. It's normally called "Americano" style... 50% espresso, 50% hot water. Of course, unlike a traditional coffee maker, that means you're making one cup at a time.

  • A: No, it doesn't come with a tamper. But for what it's worth, most of the time, I don't tamp. Reaaly depends on the type of beans you use, as tamping does let you adjust flow rate. It's a bit of a controversy amongst espresso fans. Some swear by it, others claim it's unnecessary.

    easy to use but not true espresso

It's small, very durable, & compact to fit in any space. The espresso I made were very delicious and hot just like I love to make it.     Total game changer!

    A Decent Budget-Friendly Espresso Machine

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like how small and compact this machine is compared to other espresso machines. It doesn't take up much counter space, which is a big plus, especially if you don't have a lot of room in your kitchen. The one thing I wasn't crazy about is that the machine and glass carafe don't feel super sturdy or secure when you're using it. The coffee also comes out very strong and dark, more like a moka pot than the thicker, creamy espresso with a nice crema that I was expecting. The steam wand was also pretty underwhelming and can be a little difficult to clean. Overall, I think it's better for making lattes and other milk-based coffee drinks than for drinking straight espresso. If you're someone who wants a strong coffee base to mix with milk, it does the job. I probably wouldn't choose it specifically for espresso shots, but for the price, I think it's a great little machine and an easy, budget-friendly way to enjoy coffee-shop style drinks at home. It's not perfect, but for what it costs and how little space it takes up, I think it's worth considering.

    I've had about 6 of these over the last 10 or 12 years, I use it once a day if that. They last about 1 and a half years; 2 years max. I bought one from you a few weeks ago. It never worked up to speed and it is dead as a doornail already. The thing is I still like the unit so I hope the one on order for this week will work and last longer.

    Great little espresso maker for beginners!

I normally use a regular coffee maker, so this was definitely something new for me. The machine is compact and doesn't take up much counter space, and the controls are pretty straightforward once you understand what each part does. I also like that it can make both espresso and cappuccino-style drinks, so there's more you can do with it than with a standard coffee maker. For someone who has never owned an espresso machine, I think this is a good, affordable way to get started without jumping straight into an expensive machine.     Stopped working after 2 months

    It worked perfectly for about 2 months. It was only used once per day in the morning. After 2 months, the steam seeps out through the top of the machine & it doesn't brew. I contacted the email the company left in a lot of their FAQ responses on this page & receive no response. Don't waste your money.

    Small But Mighty
