  • A: Thank you for contacting IMUSA, once the coffee has brewed to the frother sign on the coffee carafe you must turn the dial to the frother sign and submerge your milk in order to foam it.

  • A: Personnally I think those built-in frothers are over rated, and more trouble than they're worth. I just heat the milk separately and use a frothing wand. Best $2 investment ever.

  • A: If you're asking if this is one of those machines that will grind the coffee for you, then that's a definite no. I'd definitely recommend grinding fresh over buying preground stuff, so for that, yes you'll need a grinder.

  • A: I make "regular" coffee with mine all the time. It's normally called "Americano" style... 50% espresso, 50% hot water. Of course, unlike a traditional coffee maker, that means you're making one cup at a time.

  • A: No, it doesn't come with a tamper. But for what it's worth, most of the time, I don't tamp. Reaaly depends on the type of beans you use, as tamping does let you adjust flow rate. It's a bit of a controversy amongst espresso fans. Some swear by it, others claim it's unnecessary.

    Must have kitchen product

    Perfect for on the go

    Its ok

    Fabulous little espresso maker!

It does take a bit of a learning curve if you've never used an espresso maker before. I made sure to read and reread the directions (directions were very thorough and precise!). I was quite surprised how quickly the machine heated up and started making coffee. I added a bit of extra water just to be sure I also had enough to froth my milk. Coffe brewed quickly and the milk frothier was amazing! Having never used one before I have been quite impressed with the frothier itself! I'm still learning to make the perfect cup, but each one better than the last. I feel like my own personal barista! I've quite enjoyed this little maker and highly recommend it to anybody looking for a home espresso machine!

    Works Well

    Budget friendly, efficient machine

I prefer simple functionality and that is exactly what this machine does. It came with digestible step by step instructions I followed with ease. I do think the quality of the product has room for improvements as the parts may have imperfections. However, this machine delivered two cups of espresso with ease in minutes. I would recommend if you are looking for a simple machine you may not want to invest a lot in if you do not drink espresso daily.

    Easy morning pick me up

With the rising cost of even leaving the house for a cup of joe, this Imusa espresso machine and steamer has been a lifesaver. Every morning I set aside a few extra minutes to whip up my favorite latte, in my favorite mug, and take 15 minutes to sit prepare myself for the day. Between work, life, and the world changing on a daily basis, those 15 minutes have become my peace and solitude. It's so easy to use this machine, that I can still be half asleep and it practically makes itself. It's sent me on a coffee journey, and turned my husband in an artisanal barista. Let's just say, I wake up looking forward to using this appliance every single day.

    Good for the price

That being said, I think this is a decent beginner friendly machine at an affordable price. measurements are clearly labeled, and instructions provided are clear. I've tried a few different grinds, and it's not my favorite strength wise. it seems like it uses too much water per shot, and doesn't produce much, if any, crema. I also found that the pieces can be difficult to lock in correctly, it's a little clunky in that regard. PLEASE double and triple check that everything is locked in correctly before starting the machine. The pressure blew the grinds/holder clean off during one use, when I thought I had it locked in fully. But when everything is set up right, it a a very easy machine to use and a fraction of the price of chain coffee.

    Easy to use

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Imusa Espresso and Capichino maker is a nice and easy to use electric espresso machine. The controls are simple, and it allows the user to make a few cups of espresso in no time. The steam wand takes some practice, but be careful as the metal tube gets extremely hot to the touch. The unit is compact which makes it easy to store in the kitchen; however the aluminum parts have obvious machining marks which aren't as visually appealing. I would recommend this for someone looking for a compact and easy to use espresso machine. It does exactly what it is suppose to do.

    Easy to use for beginners

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This espresso and cappuccino maker is small but mighty. It would be really good for someone who has limited space. I have never made my own espresso before and one of the things that stood out was how easy it was to use. It was only a matter of minutes from taking it out of the box that I was brewing my first pot. As for the espresso, it was very tasty. Nice and strong. The machine was easy to disassemble after for cleaning as well. The milk frother/steamer worked really well, too. I made a little bit of a mess at first, but quickly figured it out. Adding steamed milk to the top of my coffee was a game changer!

    Compact and Easy To Use

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Imusa espresso and cappuccino maker is very easy to use, is small enough that it's easy to store or won't take up a lot of counter space, and makes delicious espresso. The provided instructions were easy to follow, and clearly show the process to make an espresso, or an espresso based drink. We love our caramel lattes and this machine made them easy to make at home. I just wish it came with the frothing pitcher. Seems like a silly thing not to include with the set.

It is incredibly easy to use and doesn't take up much room in my kitchen corner. It makes a rich, great cup of coffee and can make up to 4 cups. Best part about it for me is the frother.     Nice little machine

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never used a little machine like this. I've always wanted to have one. I will say it was so easy to use. The 4 cup espresso machine is going to be used quiet a lot here in my home. I would suggest that you read the directions completely. If you want to have frothed milk, it must be done at the same time the coffee is brewing! I also found that the metal pieces on this get super hot so be very careful and don't touch it The product does an awesome and really quick job at making a wonderful espresso. I will recommend it to all my friends and family. Thank you for allowing me to try this awesome espresso machine.

    Surprisingly quiet and makes a good cup of joe

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Imusa kindly gave me this espresso machine for free so that I could review it. I already have an espresso machine at home, so I brought this to the office for my afternoon coffee. I was a bit worried it would be too loud and could be a distraction to my cubicle neighbors but you seriously don't even hear it brew. The quick guide says it takes about 4 minutes but mine is done closer to 2 minutes when I fill to the 2 cup line so I'm happy with the speed of it. I haven't used the steam wand as I don't usually make lattes or cappuccinos so I can't give any feedback on that. I've just been using pre ground espresso you can find at any store and I'm happy with the taste of the coffee that comes out. Overall, I would recommend this machine for those looking for a budget friendly option. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that an expensive machine has but if you want a good cup of coffee it fits the bill.

    I would buy this product

    Not a true espresso maker

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate the concept and the price point but I found this machine hard to use. It's also not a true espresso machine but that's me (a coffee snob) splitting hairs. I think you're better off with a moka pot and some quality beans.
