Q: is this an electric or battery operated frother
A: It's electric. It has an electric base that stays plugged into the wall so that you can remove the pitcher to wash it.
submitted bygeomac3 - 5 months agoA: Hello Kim. Thank you for your question. The Instant Milk Frother is electric.

Q: What is the minimum amount of milk you can use?
A: Hello Kim. Great question! In order for the Frother to spin and actually froth, the frothing paddle at the bottom must be covered. Approximately 1/4 cup of milk.
submitted byInstant Brands - 9 months agoBrand expertA: I use it in the warming without frothing mode which as the spinner at about half speed. I just barely cover the spinner with half-and-half - just enough for an 8 oz cup of coffee, and it works fine.

Q: Is it okay to mix (well) a matcha latte powder into the milk, and then pour it into the frother? Or should any powder/latte mix (even if liquid) only be added after it's frothed/foamed?
A: Hello Home Chef. You can absolutely mix Matcha powder into the milk and into the frother. Enjoy!

Q: how well does it steam oat milk?
A: Hello Laren. Thanks for reaching out! Oat and soy milk will create foam using either the warm or cold foaming settings. It is important to always use the coldest, freshest milk or milk alternative possible before frothing. When frothing, millions of tiny air bubbles are introduced into the liquid. The longer it takes to heat up, the more air can be infused into the liquid.

Q: How do I clean this after use?
A: Hi Sarahc. Please remove the pitcher from the base before cleaning. The pitcher is not dishwasher safe as it houses electronics. With a cloth, hand wash the inside of the pitcher with hot water and dish soap and rinse it with clean, warm water. We recommend cleaning the exterior with a clean, soft, barely damp cloth or sponge and then wipe the exterior dry to avoid streaking. Please ensure the base of the pitcher is dry and clean before placing it on the Frother base.
