A: While the iRobot® HOME App provides many benefits, a Wi-Fi or App connection is not required for Roomba® and Braava jet® to clean. For Roomba®, Clean, Dock, and Spot Clean do not require a connection to the app. For Braava jet®, you can initiate a cleaning mission and activate Virtual Wall® mode without being connected to the app.

A: Hello Juedes, The Combo j5 runs for up to 75 minutes. This runtime was tested in iRobot's Home Test Lab on hard floors. Run times may vary depending on amount of carpeting, and carpet pile height. The Combo j5 will return home to charge and resume cleaning after.

A: Hello Kim, the Combo j5 is enabled with Imprint® Smart Mapping technology which describes the robot’s ability to learn, map and adapt to your home. It learns your floorplan as it cleans and remembers this map for future cleaning jobs. Once the robot has learned your space you can tell it which rooms to clean and your robot will know which cleaning method to use based on the bin installed.

This is my second Roomba and is by far the worst purchase I’ve made in a long time. It requires a map of your house to work, but if a single chair or table moves from the last timeit mapped your house, it freaks out and stops working. I waited too long to return it, and now I am stuck with this vacuum that is currently going in circles and has wasted an entire tub of cleaning solution.

Terrible, first try using and it was all over the place, no pattern, just all over the place running into everything. Very loud! About 10 minutes in, got stuck in a corner and ate a cord and I couldn’t get it to work again.

Took about an hour to set up, I kept getting an error message & I had to reboot multiple times. It is constantly getting stuck. I purposely got this for the mopping feature & it’s terrible, you might as well get a different brand vacuum for a fraction of the price since this doesn’t do the job it describes. You also can’t use this at night as the app states “roomba can’t see in darker rooms try leaving a dim light on.” It also failed to charge multiple times without a notification so when it was time for me to use it the battery was dead.

Mop will not work, everytime I change it over, goes right back to home. Called and got a replacement vacuum and the new one does the exact same thing.

This thing sucks for 600+$. I'd stay away from iRobot and its products. They never work. Smart maps are always a mess. I ask the roomba to clean one room, and it does the opposite. Selecting multiple rooms to clean never does the job. It even say the job is completed by just cleaning one room. This Roomba i7 is very confused. And the j5 cannot vacuum carpets that are higher than 1/4 inch. Which is confirmed by the Customer Support. How stupid are they? They just said the j5 can only vacuum floors and not carpets. Being j5's navigation based on a camera, it's been a year now, and it would still ask for a review when it sees a curtain in the room for the hundredth time. Spend your money elsewhere. I have been an iRobot Customer since 2018, with i7 being my first vacuum and now j5. Both have been garbage for the past 3 years. It has been nothing but a headache to me.

good price on sale. quieter than last roomba. picks up dust and sand well. Dislike the dustbin is smaller than last one and more challenging to empty without making mess It doesn’t have a carrying handle. There were many complaints on mop in reviews but I haven’t tried it yet. I figure it will be better mop than none in between normal mopping.

I am very unhappy with this Roomba. This is the second Roomba that I buy and they both have leaked terribly. Also the robot does not go on a line pattern as they state it goes everywhere that it’s not supposed to. Do not buy.

This product actually does a decent job with vacuuming, but the mopping is pretty pathetic. The pad leaves behind two one-inch circles of water indicating that is all that it is cleaning. I tried support, but I got nowhere. I would skip this product and stick with the vacuum-only version.

Adding the combo bin that allows you to mop is not possible. I tried several times and went through their very bad support to not get anywhere. The feature itself if you read there fine print requires you to put the mop bin in, watch it when it mops cause as soon as it goes back to the base it will leak onto the matt it sits on and onto your floor. So there is NO point to pay extra for this thing that provides no automation on half of the features it provides. In all i would not recommend wasting the time and money on this product and the company considering the support and the way they try to market their products.
