I was purchased i3 Roomba and was super impressive with the product but immediately after one year of use, it stopped working and after reaching out to their customer support, they sent the replacement model i5. At this point I was again impressed with their customer support. The replacement model they sent worked fine only for 2-3 times and then started throwing navigation error. This time this piece didn't work even for 1 month. I reached to the customer support couple of times with the issue but they were not willing to support and kept saying they will look into the issue, but the customer has to pay for the repair cost. I'm not following why the customer has to pay for repair when replacement model was brand new.

We loved this product for the first month. Then came multiple errors and issues every time we used it. It was such a disappointment. When it finally broke for good after 5 months - it wouldn't hold a charge, iRobot would not send a replacement, even though customer service confirmed the robot would not hold a charge. We had to send it back in to get repaired. Estimate is 4+ weeks. Still don't have it back. The concept is great, but unfortunately the software and reliability isn't there yet. I would not recommend to buy.

Hi CAZ, we are really sorry to hear about the situation. This is definitely not the experience we want our iRobot family to have, and we'd love the opportunity to turn it around.
Is it okay if you provide us with iRobot email in order to resolve the issue?

I have the j10 combo and was thrilled when I first got the unit. Two months and a week past purchase the charging port melted on one side so the unit cannot charge. I submitted a claim for resolution April 8, 2025. Conveniently, this happened just past their 30 day return policy. Therefore, I cannot return the item or get a refund. Currently, I have no resolution from the company and am making payments on a unit through affirm that doesn't work. Their customer service is literally a joke. The latest I heard was that I would be waiting 2-3 more weeks to hear a solution from their safety department. Do not buy from iRobot.

The product itself is great cleans well like it is suppose to. I have a j9 for about 4 months now and the charging contacts on the clean base have malfunctioned. Called customer service and said it was a safety thing so it had to be escalated to that department. Got a email wanting pictures so I submitted it. After 4 emails and 3 calls I am still getting the runaround and a product I can't use. So if you want a product the machine itself is great just don't expect them to honor the warranty or even be the least bit helpful

I bought this to try and contain some of my dog hair. I have some carpet and some hard wood. The suction is mediocre at best. It works better on the wood floor. It is terrible on carpet. Even at the max suction setting it leaves hair behind as well as dirt and anything else your floors accumulate. It only does half of the house and it gets stuck on everything. It also continues to use the battery so that when you do come home and pull it out from whatever it's stuck on, it's dead. It also takes forever to charger. Like 5+ hours when completely dead. If you have stand up fans, phone cords, or any other small items make sure they're out of the way. Also, when it starts a job, and it's the same thing it did yesterday and the day before " why I said it only does half the house", when you pick it up to move it to the portion of the house that it didn't do, it will automatically return home. You can't cancel it from returning home in the app either. I am so disappointed in this product. For something that costs as much as these do I would have imagined it being somewhat of a smart device. 0 out of 10. Would not recommend to anyone.

Have a new room roomba j9 with a cleaning base issue. Called iRobot and then they say this is a safety issue and it has to be escalated to that department to handle it. After getting a list of request from that department I haven't heard anything. If this is such a safety issue then why has no one handle it. It's under warranty but yet I can get the base exchanged out. Only 2 months old and has become a doorstop not good for anything else. The charging prong on the clean base is malfunctioned and can't get anyone at iRobot to handle my issue. When it worked it was great but dealing with the warranty department is a waste of time. I advise don't purchase because if you have a warranty issue it will never be addressed
Gets lost and stuck every time I don't know how it's so bad

I bought a Roomba in November of '23 and by January '25 it would no longer take a charge. I spent 2 hours on the phone with customer service who said they would fix it then reneged and said it was out of warranty. Another case worker picked it up when I complained and asked for more pictures only to not respond after that. Feels like a known issue that the company refuses to own and fix. If I used the vacuum 15 times would have been the max in the year and a quarter that I had it. Very little use to break and no longer charge... I will never recommend getting one and I suggest you save your money.

I was really hoping this roomba j9+ would work out for me. Unfortunately it's absolutely NOT worth the money I spent. I decided to give it a try for several months to give an accurate review. I bought it in August 2024. For starters it says it picks up pet hair. False! I have 1 dog and all it does is drag the hair all around the house. It's loud and and I can't get it to go along side the baseboards even though there is a setting for it. It's also a bit wide so it doesn't clean underneath furniture like my old one did. The only great thing about it is the self dumping feature. I do like the mapping feature as well. I had a different brand before which I paid under $200. It worked WAY better than this irobot. It was quiet and thin enough to go under my furniture. The only reason I upgraded (so I thought I was upgrading) was because It didn't have a self dumping feature.

The iRobot with the mob feature first off, never works nearly as well as the base model, secondly would stop on my hardwoods with the mop down leaving permanent marks on my floor but worst of all, the station leaked for months through my nice rug onto my hardwoods buckling the wood and ruining the rug. Spent 4 months in back and forth thinking iRobot will help, but instead, after reviewing all of my photos, decided their machine couldn't do that damage. Yet the stain happens to be directly under my base and zero other water source is present in the room.

I was gifted this vaccum, I used it for a couple of months, then faced a problem with the self empty feature. I could not figure out what the problem was so I contacted customer support after I had completed troubleshooting on my own. Customer support asked me for purchase confirmation, which I did not have as it was gifted to me. I could not get my hands on the purchase confirmation, and so they said they cannot help me, and that I would need to pay for the repair.

I started using my Roomba 692 in Dec 2023. It actually worked well for just over a year. It suddenly stopped working in Feb 2025. They determined it was a KNOWN ISSUE with the dust bin. And even thought it is a known defective part, they are putting it on me to replace because it is just a couple months out of warty. In my opinion you should save money with a less expensive option, if the "top of the line" guy Isn't going to stand by their product more than the bare minimum.

This is the worst vacuum. Instead of making things easier and convenient it makes it a c9mplete nightmare! It constantly sits in one space for 20 minutes saying it's vacuuming when it's not. It takes hours for it to start vacuuming one room because it just goes back and forth and everywhere else in the house where it's NOT set to vacuum. If it hits a teeny bump it thinks is it's on a cliff and Freaks out, however, when it hits a 2 inch bar on the bottom of a chair we have it Rams itself repeatedly until it forces itself to get stuck. And this is just a couple of the ridiculous problems. Waste of money. This product is the biggest piece of crap. I wouldn't even gift this to my worst enemy!

It's so loud that your ears will ring after it empties its bin. I wanted to like this device because it cleans well, but the noise it makes when emptying sounds like a jet engine starting up—and I know this because I used to work on aircraft. I measured the noise with my phone using a sound app, and even though the app isn't calibrated, it recorded 86.3 dB at five feet away, even when I wasn't in the direct line-of-sight of the noise source. Normally, I wouldn't mind if it made this noise as long as I wasn't around; I'd simply set it to empty its bin when nobody is home. However, the app does not allow you to change that setting. Instead, every time it completes a cleaning run, this jet-engine-like vacuum starts to empty its bin. As an engineer, I'm amazed that this thing ever made it out of development with this much noise.

Called support again and was told this process may take two to three days and they would email me instructions. I think this is bad service
