Q: How is this different from Bob's Red Mill Baking Flour?

submitted by need2no - 9 months ago
  • A: King Arthur’s is Certified Gluten-Free by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization, fortified with vitamins and minerals, and is made with more than 50% whole grains.

    submitted byJudi U - 4 months ago

Q: The description says "Contains: Eggs, Soy, Milk, Almonds, Coconut" - none of these appear to be present in the ingredients list... So, does it actually contain these allergens?

submitted by Ginsomer - 2 years ago
  • A: No. I have no idea why those are listed in the ingredients. The package doesn't say the same. I'm allergic to soy and milk and have been using this flour for months so at least I can attest to its lack of those two allergens.

submitted byTina - 2 years ago

Q: Is this nut free ? My grandson has an extreme tree nut allergy. Also want to make sure it’s made in a nut free facility ( no cross contamination )

submitted by Nana - 2 years ago
  • A: All allergen information can be found at www.kingarthurbaking.com/allergen-program. This item is produced on equipment that also processes wheat, milk, soy, eggs, coconut, chestnuts and almonds.

submitted by martha farmer - 3 years ago

Far better than bobs red mill. Doesn’t “taste gluten free”. I use gluten recipes and just replace the flour with this, they all turn out well.

Got a spoiled bag. Returned it. Moved across the country. Bought another new bag. Spoiled upon opening again. Usually KAF is reliable and trustworthy. Not in 2023!

LOVE this gluten free flour. My favorite by far. It’s great for baking or for using in cooking. I love that it’s not made out of just corn. The best!

I used it this in cookies, cakes and muffins. All items cooked up well and looked good, but had an unpleasantly gritty texture. I ended up discarding half the bag. I'm currently looking for a better GF flour.

I tried this for some relatives who must remain gluten free, using recipes designed for this flour. The results were very pleasing, and the relatives loved what I made.

I use this for absolutely everything. I make lots of pasta with this. The only thing is that I always add more xanthum gum, as otherwise, they tend to fall apart in the rollers. Gives a Chewier texture too. Thanks for not hiding dairy in your gf mixes also. We are gf df in this house and other hide milk powder in them and cause my fiancé to be sick.

This was my first time trying the GF flour and I found it to be an excellent flour. In the past, I've made my own GF flour using the ATK book but this flour is comparable and quite good. I'll buy it again.

I did receive this order. The box was slighter torn up, but the products were not damaged. I'm really enjoying baking, I think I'm learning I need to use just slight less flour than regular flour.

Needed to made a gluten free cake for a wedding. Did a sample taste test and the couple loved how good the cake tasted. I will also make some cupcakes gluten free as well. I did research on adding additional moisture and leavening as well.

Used this flour to make

Used this flour to make a gluten free pie crust for an apple pie for someone with wheat allergies. The flour mixed fine and rolled out beautifully, but I did have trouble with it crumbling. The crust tasted good, but was difficult to make look presentable.
