KitchenAid Spiralizer Attachment with Peel, Core and Slice - KSM1APC: Metal Stand Mixer Accessory, Dishwasher-Safe

** This is not a complaint ** This attachment does exactly what it was promised to do.. but unfortunately, not exactly what I need it to do. I wish that I could change the gearing, or the pitch of the feed screw thread, so that this would advance the cutter ¼" / 6mm per rotation of the food item, instead of the present feed rate of about 2.5 or 3mm per revolution. I bought this hoping to duplicate commercial curly fries, but the spiral cut is too thin, the fries cooked too crisp too quickly. Fortunately, I.love scalloped.potatoes even more than curly fries.. the full width spirals will easily become.ringlets that will make perfect scallops. But, when apple pie season rolls around, apple slices of that size seem too thin, and I'll be wanting a 6mm/rev feed rate again. Fortunately, I'm a mechanical engineer and qualified machinist, so, if I can find a used and broken unit on E b a y being sold for salvage parts, I can tweak the feed screw and/or the gear ratios to get what I want. Obviously, I can't go exploring inside my new unit for another year, when the warranty expires. Seriously, thank you for another excellent product in the Kitchenaid family.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Works perfectly. It is easy to cut uniform slices for the dehydrator. My only regret is not purchasing the 7 blades. The thinner blades would be very useful for cutting finely enough to make crispy dehydrated chips. I am finding it difficult to buy the two separately.

This is terrible - I was trying to spiralize a sweet potato and the attachment just bends backwards and can’t even spiralize the sweet potato. I even watched videos to make sure I have everything set up correctly. It would probably work great for something soft like a zucchini but it definitely can’t do potatoes as advertised. Also - I was not paid for this review, I’d ignore all the paid promotion reviews because I don’t know what they see as positive about this product…

I purchased the 5 Blade spiralizer with the peel, core and slice and am amazed how much time I have saved peeling, coring, and slicing apples as well as peeling potatoes. It’s easy to attach to the mixer and easy to clean after using it.

I especially like it for zucchini noodles, although I find you have to cut down pieces before spiralizing because of the limited “runway” for the mechanism. Tonight I tried the peeler attachment on a roasted beet. It worked “ok” but a knife is probably better in my book. It spiralized (spaghetti) about 2/3 of a beet like a charm! Then I needed to cut up the last portion - a bit more than the nub left from a zucchini. They are very pretty noodles though! Still getting to know it, and I’m excited to try more things. I really like the storage box- everything has a place! Easy to store.

Very easy to use and it works great. If you have a kitchenaid mixer, this is worth every penny. Even better when on sale.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am pleased with my purchase and the quality is top notch. It spiralizes zucchini perfectly for zucchini noodles. I usually use half regular pasta and half veggie pasta. The case it comes in keeps it safely stored. The only thing I wish was that there was a smaller spiralizer that I could use for beets and carrots in salads. I hope it lasts as long as my KitchenAid mixer that I bought used over 35 years ago.
