Q: Do the pasta attachments lock in place while attached and rolling the dough? (Our family is thinking about getting rid of our manual, clamp-on-the-counter pasta roller. The crank comes out too easily between passes.)

Tried videos and written info which was great. Luckily I had used a hand roller before. Didn’t knead the pasta by machine as I prefer to mix and knead by hand.

In a sale I purchased the KitchenAid pasta roller set and it is incredible!! It is so easy to attach to my stand mixer, it’s smooth, does not rip the dough, allows you to use both your hands to feed and catch the pasta. It’s is fantastic and we now make our own pasta regularly with the kids enjoying it too. The kitchen aid tool has allowed us to eat home made food a lot more.

It’s so easy to use and while there is definitely a bit of a learning curve to it, once you get the hang of it, there is no going back to store bought pasta.
