We do reccomend to always follow clarifying shampoo with a super moisturizing hair mask like the Kristin Ess Hair Reconstructive Moisture Mask. Hope this helps!

This is a good shampoo. It has a slightly more thicker consistency but I squeeze a bit into my hands then rub them together to start the lather before applying to my hair. I work it through my hair and scrub and it doesn't feel like it is coating my hair or drying it out. It feels nice and leaves my hair feeling clean. The scent is light and sweet but it lasts subtly all day. It smells like a more luxurious scentalicious scent. And it fills the shower area for a total spa like feeling. I loved this and will definitely continue using.

Great signature duo for Kristin Ess
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am going to review this shampoo and conditioner as a combo because I used both to wash my hair. First off, I felt like this did a great job of cleaning my hair, the shampoo really has a good lather to it, and you will probably need less than you think. Even though I used a little bit more than I should have, both the shampoo and conditioner were very easy to wash out for me. After shampooing and rinsing out my hair, it felt surprisingly soft while it was still wet. After conditioning my hair, I left it in for the three minutes it recommended. After doing the final rinse out of my hair, it felt very soft, and I actually didn’t see as much hair in the bottom of my shower as I feel like I normally do. I proceeded to blow dry my hair after adding a heat protectant, and I was very pleased with the final product! I have a lot of issues with dry hair and scalp and I felt like this did a nice job of moisturizing my hair without weighing it down too much while also making sure my frizz was mostly under control. I didn’t notice a residue. My hair is also VERY soft feeling and quite shiny, I’m so pleased! For the price point I definitely think it is a very solid signature product duo!!

Good for everyday grease

I have very greasy hair that I treat with dandruff shampoo occasionally so I need something daily that’s going to kick the oil but not make my scalp too dry. This is advertised as a lightly clarifying shampoo for all hair types and I think that’s pretty accurate. My hair feels sufficiently clean when I wash with this but it’s not nearly as drying as a full on clarifying shampoo. It does list fragrance in the ingredients but it’s very light to me, can’t put my finger on it but it’s just “clean” smelling kinda like laundry detergent but in a good way lol

I was a bit nervous because it’s described as “gently clarifying’” and thought it might be drying on my long, color treated hair. However, it’s not drying at all. It’s sulfate and paraben free, and has a really nice lather that leaves your hair and scalp feeling really clean without dryness. The packaging is a really pretty neutral color that’s spa like. The scent is very subtle and clean. I don’t wash my hair every day so I sometimes get itchiness from dry shampoo, and this immediately takes care of the itchiness leaving my scalp feeling fantastic! I use the conditioner after shampooing, and I’ve been receiving a ton of compliments about how healthy my hair looks.

A little goes a long way
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo is so nice! It has a really rich lather and a little truly goes a long way. I’m notorious for using more shampoo than I really need but I tried to follow the “quarter size” amount that was suggested and it was enough. The lather was really rich and left my hair feeling very clean. The conditioner was another story. I needed 50 cents worth before I felt like there was enough. But the end result was still nice! The smell is really nice as well and I can still smell it in my hair the next day! My husband also has longer hair and tried it. He was really impressed with it and liked the smell a lot.
