About this item

Highlights

  • For all hair types
  • Lightly clarifying
  • High lathering
  • Safe for daily use
  • Sulfate-free

Description

The shampoo for pretty much anyone. The thing I love about this formula is it gets your hair super clean but also leaves it feeling moisturized and looking shiny. It's hard to find a shampoo, particularly a sulfate-free shampoo, that can do both so well.

Lather, rinse, repeat! You know the drill, right!?

How to:
1. Depending on the thickness of your hair, squeeze a dime to quarter-sized amount of shampoo into your palm.
2. Apply to wet hair, massaging into the scalp to create a rich lather.
3. Rinse clean and repeat if necessary.
Tip: If my hair is extra oily or has a lot of product in it, I like to shampoo twice.

Contains Zip-Up Technology™, our proprietary strengthening complex designed to "zip-up" split ends while targeting weak areas of the hair, smoothing the appearance of damaged cuticles and helping to protect hair from environmental stressors and color fade.

I’ve used this for years now and never had issues. My hair dresser always tells me my hair looks healthy. It has a light scent that doesn’t linger after it’s rinsed.

This shampoo has great ingredients. It makes my hair feel so soft and keeps it clean longer. The chic packaging is a plus. The scent stays in my hair longer than any other shampoo I’ve used!

Let me start off good, the smell of this is BEYOND amazing. I love the bottle and i think the price is fair (for most of her products). A problem I did have with this was it made my hair oily but i do have sensitive hair that gets oily very easily and this product didn’t help sadly because it smelt so good!

I have been losing hair in chunks. I have dandruff and bald spots all over my scalp. These photos don't even show half of the damage. My mom is experiencing the same awfulness from using this product. This should be taken off shelves. DO. NOT. USE.

Much too fragrant. I purchased this because it was recommended in a magazine to be one of the top best scents in shampoos. It was described as being clean with a fresh floral scent. This is way beyond the limits of clean and floral, more like very strong perfume. Why add all this fragrance to a great working shampoo? Come on Kristin Ess, you can do better. I won't be buying this again.

WARNING HAIR LOSS

MJHM - 2 months ago, Verified purchaser
I had purchased trial size Kristin Ess for a few trips and loved the lather and smell, so when I was ready to switch up the shampoo/conditioner I had used for many years, I was excited to try this. I had searched online and seen posts about hair loss but ignored - HUGE mistake. After 2 months of using this product my scalp is irritated, my hair has been greasier, and most importantly I am experiencing a lot of hair loss. I have long straight dark virgin hair - it is fairly thin but luckily I have a lot of it because shedding has been extreme and concerning. I looked online and found posts where people had hair falling out in clumps and bald patches that continued even after switching - I wish I had heeded warnings and stuck with my existing brand. Don’t make my mistake!!!! Now I have to splurge for fancy shampoo to help promote hair growth and take vitamins, but it will probably take years (I am not joking) for my hair to recover from this.

I used this shampoo for about 2-3 weeks and decided it wasn’t for me. It caused my scalp and roots to feel very oily but my hair strands felt dirty and dry- making my hair super limp and gross. It did lather really well and smells nice.

I have fine hair and this shampoo made it super tangly to the point where I couldn’t even brush my hand through it. Also, anytime I’d touch my hair it would get staticky. Not for me.

DRY!

Kylee - 2 months ago, Verified purchaser
I gave this product a 2 week try and my hair has NEVER felt so dry. This product made me have to come on here to review it because I want to prevent anyone from wasting their money! It made my hair so dry and frizzy that it looked matted when I got out of the shower. My hair had the texture of squeaky clean teeth after brushing them… if that makes sense. I could hear my fingers run through it. The pictures are right after washing and then the drying (2 weeks into trying). I know my hair is dyed, but this is after 6 months of growth. I’ve used every shampoo and conditioner there is and this one is absolutely the worst.

I was getting greasy hair from so many shampoos and this one worked perfectly! I have thicker hair and always struggle to find a good shampoo. This one works amazing. The smell is a bit perfume-y which I don’t mind, but it might be too strong for some.

Well, I used Kristin Ess because I heard good things from friends and used it for months until I realized that it started drying out my hair. I switched shampoos to see if it was the culprit and the other shampoo brand helped my hair significantly. Welp, I wanted to love Kristin Ess’ shampoo but I’m going to have to switch. :(

Been using it for over 8 months now! It’s definitely more on the pricey side but worth it it! Just make sure to not use it everyday, more like 1-2 times a week depends if you wash your hair everyday. It has a nice scent too!
