A: Hello Krys. I am sorry that your Stacking Stones Diffuser did not come with instructions. You can email us at Care@Lifelines.com if you have not already to receive a copy. The unit does need water to turn on (in addition to adding Essential Oil Blend) you can add water into the top of the unit as well as to the base along with the Oil Blend. A couple of drops, more or less of the oil blend depending on the strength of aroma you are looking to experience.

So sorry to hear that the oils are getting mixed up as you switch them out, but not to worry, we have a fix for that! Please try to the following steps for cleaning your Lifelines Stacking Stones Diffuser and it should help clear out the previous oil aromas: - Unplug device and remove stack of stones by twisting counterclockwise. - Wipe diffuser bowl clean with a paper towel. Be gentle! Do not use cleaning chemicals or soaps. - You can rinse stones under water but do not submerge entire unit in water to prevent damage to internal components.
