Shiny, vibrant color
I'm loving the shade of plum this Demi dye delivered. I have some grey hair and it's a unique dimension with the shades of violet that it adds to them.

Made my roots purple
I really did not love this product at all. I color my hair auburn already, and my roots were starting to show just a bit. I didn't think it would be a big deal since the color on the box didn't look that far off from the color I already color it. I was just looking for a bit of different color through it. My roots ended up bright purple. It was awful.

Does not work
I bought two boxes because it was recommended that for thick long hair you should use two. After mixing up the color both bottles were drastically different colors. One of them was dark purple and the other was like a very light almost lilac color. I fully saturated my hair and left it in for a little over 20 minutes. I rinsed for almost an hour and the water would never run clear. Even then, the color made absolutely no difference to my hair. Don't use if you have black hair. It doesn't work.

Doesn't affect texture and shows up!

It was a little hard to see since I only dyed the under layers, but color has lasted a while and I am satisfied with this dye!

Beautiful color
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TEST - I loved the packaging of the color and the easy instructions. I loved the processing time was short. I normally like a permanent dye but I've been happy with how this is lasting. I don't love the smell of the dye when i was applying. It felt drying when i rinsed out but loved that it came with shampoo and conditioner. End result was gorgeous.

Great for Natural Redhead

Came with a hair cap, gloves, a wipe for your skin (I was messy so TOTALLY useful!!!). Instructions were easy to follow as well!! I even did cute marks on my arms for fun

Halo effect on my black hair

Beautiful but didn't last

I had all my hair grown out so I was at a light brown shade. So this picked up fast and nice but it did not last. It did stain some. It got annoying. I won't be trying this one again but glad I did to know what won't work for me.

Worth it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] [I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I tried Madison Reed's Demi-Permanent Hair Color in Brunette Base and really liked it! It was easy to use at home, and the color came out rich and natural — perfect for refreshing my brunette without going too dark or harsh. My hair felt soft and healthy afterward, which was a nice bonus. It doesn't fully cover grays, but it does help blend them in. The color fades gradually after a few weeks, but in a way that still looks nice. Great option if you want a low-commitment touch-up without damaging your hair.
