Maxi-Cosi Cassia Baby Swing

This swing did not work at all for our girl. Even as a newborn she didn't like it. it does not swing vigorously enough for her. She gets bored with it. Feels like this swing was a waste of money for our family.

Good swing, baby is almost one and still uses it.

Only swings in one direction, side to side. If your baby likes to be rocked up and down, this is not the swing to get. My baby never liked it. I would return it but its already too late.

Actual bed part of swing had a ton of thread pulls and pilling. There was also no instruction manual included although I’m sure it was supposed to have one with all the pieces. My guess is this was a returned item not inspected properly since my text message for delivery said the item was “on its way from targets return center” despite buying this brand new from targets website. Going to return as well. Should have bought direct from Cassia and beware other shoppers.

The swing is very high quality and has a long life when using batteries, making the swing very easy to move around your house, if needed. The swing has 5 motion options and also has several sound options, including lullabies and various nature sounds. My baby loves it!

I really wanted to love this! This was my experience with Amazon and Maxi-Cosi. Not Target but thought I’ll post this review in Target too, since I almost purchased it here. When I first got it, it was amazing, however I noticed the swing mobile thing was twisted so I contacted the company and they sent me a new one right away within that week. II then noticed the swing was a bit cricket… and when I put my infant in it, he would be roll in a weird angle to the side… he absolutely hated this swing and would cry from discomfort. I looked to see if I was the only one, and found a few other reviews posting about this issue with a picture. • I called Amazon to request a replacement, but they refused and told me to contact the company. • I contacted the company and asked if I could get it replaced as I’m willing to send this back to them, but now they don’t want to respond. •I contacted Amazon again, and told them I would like to return this since it’s directed and the company will not respond, but they said it’s been over a month, so they would only refund me 80% and I would have to pay them 20% for a restocking fee even though it’s defective. But this purchase was through a baby registry so my return window was good for 90 days. Purchase in Feb, return window was in May. •After informing the person on the phone that, they finally said they were able to make an exception and would give me a full refund after I return it. lol Just to get a hold of someone and getting it retuned for a full refund was such a hassle. Maxi-Cosi’s costumer service is horrible! For little things they were fast to respond, but for a bigger issue they went silence. However, I did love how sleek it was, the color, comes with a newborn insert, very compact and light weight! But I did noticed the swing’s power was weak. As my infant grows, I see this becoming a bigger problem. So I end up purchasing 4moms MamaRoo. It is extremely expensive, but it was absolutely worth it. It has five swing motions, and it has four or five speed. It is compact as well and easy to adjust the swing position. However it does make a motor noise as it swings, but it’s not that loud as some people are complaining. In fact my infant actually likes these type of noise so it’s not a probable at all!

I didn't think I would ever buy one of these, given the cost and the negative reputation of baby swings in general. It went on sale right around when my baby turned 2 months old, when we were getting desperate for anything that could help with the constant crying and needing to be held. It arrived, I assembled it in minutes, and our now-3.5-month-old baby has been enjoying her "swivel chair" daily ever since. It isn't always the solution to her crying, but it's an option to try and sometimes it works amazingly. We live in a small condo, so basically one of us is able to keep an eye on her at all times while using it. It's a convenient spot to keep the baby happy for a few minutes when we first get home or when we're getting ready to head out. The timer function helps us limit her total "container time", and I think the side-to-side motion seems ideal for at least not making her GERD symptoms any worse. We used to have it play music, but lately she seems to enjoy the stream and bird sounds more. In the event of a blowout in the seat, all of the material is removable by a single zipper so it can be tossed in the washing machine and air dried. The swing is better off without the goofy plastic mobile, so we just left that in the box.

My baby hates this swing. We have tried it for 3 weeks now and she cries every time she’s in it. It does not soothe her at all. I think she prefers the classic front to back and not the side sway. It’s too bad because the swing itself is very nice. It’s sturdy, put together well, aesthetically pleasing, but I guess some babies are picky and just don’t like it. Still gave 4 stars because my baby is just picky but it’s a nice swing.

If your baby is an easy sleeper. They may love this! My daughter has fell asleep in this swing all of one time when she was a newborn. Personally, i don’t think it swings in the way she personally likes, (it’s really slow) the music sounds super staticky and can shock the baby. the quality is cute and definitely is “aesthetically pleasing” but overall i would say it’s just okay for the price. If you’re looking for something that’s super soothing I would go with mamaroo.

My baby loves this swing, I originally got a a different one from my registry and she HATED it. BUT, this one sways side to side instead of back and forth and she loves it. The timer feature and music make my life so much easier when I need to cook or fold laundry. Id definitely spend the money on this!

I’ve been using this with my baby since she was a newborn, she’s now 7 months. Today, we had a major blow out situation, and I realized one of my favorite design features of this swing! The entire mid section zips out and can be thrown right into the washing mashing. I was able to run it through twice and it held shape and was so easy to zip back in! Hallelujah for something that makes sense when it comes to cleaning and kids. I really like that it can swivel for a front back rock as well as the side to side. It’s light weight, and has been a dream to use. I’ve been a little unimpressed with the mobile, but I hang additional toys off of it and I do love that I can change locations of the arm that holds the mobile. My baby seems to love this swing, and has even slept in it recently when she’s been congested and it’s been a lifesaver!

My son Hated the first swing we got him. This has a good rhythm and even has an auto swing setting for when he wiggles.

My 1 month old son would sit in a bouncer or one of the swings that goes forward and back for 5 minutes or less before crying and wanting to be held again. He sat in this swing happily for over 30 minutes during his fussiest time of day the first time I put him in it! He continues to enjoy it and I'm so glad I bought this. The recline option is perfect and he looks very comfortable in it (as opposed to the bouncer where his chin goes to his chest). I also love the option to run on batteries. I'm assuming they won't last long, but it's great to be able to move it around the house without worrying about the cord -- it's very light.

This swing is lightweight and portable. It take 4 triple A batteries and weighs less than 10 pounds I take it with me in every room of the house! Even outside. I love that you can put it in automatic mode once your baby falls asleep and change the the speed of it while they are awake. My baby has been in this swing for the first 4 months of his life and it’s his absolute favorite place other than our arms. This swing reclines perfectly and easily. The mobile is detachable. It plays tunes and has the perfect volume pitch it’s not annoying like other swings and I already mentioned but I love that it’s not overbearing and large. It takes up such little space and is so light. My baby boy is 16 lbs and it takes up to 20 lbs I’m going to be so sad once he grows out of this but it really is very worth the price.

It only works with infants for a little while. I thought it was a waste of money.
