Motorola Nursery PIP15-2 Audio Baby Monitor

Thanks, Motorola, for sending me this monitor free of charge in exchange for my honest review! This monitor set comes with the parent base and two monitor devices, great for monitoring two rooms from one base. The monitors have a lot of features, such as volume and VOX control, nightlight and lullaby capabilities, and room temperature monitoring. The base can be cycled to listen to one room, both rooms, or a rotating schedule. The screen is easy to read and the aesthetics of the monitors are great. The range is pretty fantastic, too. I can go outside on the other side of the house from the monitors and the base picks up just fine. The downside of this system is that it is rather hard to navigate. Once you've cycled through the options and set then how you'd like, it's not too bad, but there are a ton of options to choose and set for each monitor. There is a central button that contains the menu, volume, and the room selector. This is a little awkward as it's easy to get into the menu or accidentally change the room while fumbling for the volume button late at night. While the looks of this monitor are great, it isn't very easy to carry around. There is no clip and the base comes out at an angle so you can't easily slip it into a pocket if you're moving around the house and want to take it with you. I would recommend this product to a friend who is more tech-savvy and friends with two or more children/pets they'd like to monitor. This may not be the best buy if you're looking for something basic or something with good portability.

Monitors for the baby and for our dog, who occasionally has tummy troubles at night. Enter the multi-monitor. Now I have full awareness of what both baby and dog are up to at all times without using different systems. GENIUS! I can't recommend enough!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor was exactly what we needed. It allows us to monitor the bedroom and playroom without having to purchase multiple kits. For our toddler he loved the nightlight and music feature that was offered. It was also easy to set up and take down easy so we were able to take on a trip to the grandparents for Labor Day weekend for naptime for some of the younger kids or to make sure playtime wasn't getting too rowdy while cooking dinner.

I loved being able to name each room and having the temperature displayed too! One negative thing that is missing is having lights that light up on the receiver if there is sound from one of the rooms.

We have a video monitor in our 2 y.o. daughter's bedroom, but utilize the audio monitor in other rooms, specifically the playroom and the living room. I love that this audio monitor came with two monitors to place in different rooms. While I'm in the kitchen cooking, I can hear my daughter playing in the playroom or living room which puts my mind at ease. The sound quality is crystal clear. Comes with a fun light feature as well as a lullaby option. We don't really utilize those features unless we take the audio monitor with us on vacation, which we have done and it works great. Really just a great audio monitor if you need one. We use it daily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried multiple audio monitors before and this is by far the best one I've used. The others are just not clear and have a very limited range. With my previous experiences I wasn't expecting much with this one, but I was actually shocked at how well it works. The audio is very clear and I can stand all the way across my property and still get a strong signal. That means when baby goes to sleep I can still keep an ear on him even when the video monitor loses signal. The ability to keep one in multiple spots is awesome too. Overall I am throughouly impressed by this monitor and would highly recommend it.

We can monitor two rooms simultaneously, monitor the rooms temperature, two-way communication, rechargeable monitors with upto 8 hours of battery life, secure and private connection, up to 1500 feet range, mute/ sound detection alert, bright back lit LCD display and DECT wireless technology. The interface is very simple and there are no gimmicks or anything confusing about it, which I appreciate. The batteries are rechargeable and last for 9-10 hours on a full charge. Of course, you can choose to leave the parent unit and/or sound monitors plugged in so you do not have to worry about charging, but if you are bringing the parent unit around the house with you it is nice that it holds a charge for awhile. The monitors can also be named in your settings if you have multiple children or are monitoring multiple rooms, which makes it easy to tell the difference between the two. You can also listen to both monitors at once, or just one and it is very easy to switch between them. I am still room sharing with my baby, but next month when she turns 1 I am planning on having her sleep overnight in her nursery. I was worried about how I was going to monitor her with my current video camera monitor as the sound isn't very good, but this Motorola monitor is absolutely perfect for this and I feel very well prepared for the transition now. The nightlight(s) work well and are easy to turn on/off and adjust for each monitor. It is easy to talk through both or just one of the monitors as well. Lullabies are a major plus!

This monitor is a great option for anyone needing to monitor two rooms at once. I love that there is the ability to cycle between the rooms or listen to them both at the same time. The monitor hub itself is very compact and easy to carry around which I like. I also really appreciate that the monitor hub and baby units both have the option of being connected to the main power or using battery. This gives me so much peace of mind if the power were to ever go out. The baby units have a night light on them with three different brightness levels which would be really handy for diaper changes. The monitor sounds clear and has several volume levels. I am so glad that this monitor uses a local connection vs WiFi; I've heard of way too many WiFi monitors being hacked into. I have taken this all over my house and it has never lost connection. My only complaint with this monitor is the small green light that is on the baby units showing that it is "connected". I feel like this light is a little too bright in my baby's blacked-out room, but I'm sure some tape over it would do the trick. All in all, I think this is a good audio-only monitor if you have more than one room to monitor!

First off the battery life is great, sound pick-up is super sensitive. We have a video monitor as well but found it wasn't alerting us very well and I worried about the video feed stalling or glitching but this has been an added level of peace of mind. Also love that they are two way so I can attempt to calm my baby waking from nap time with a song and it has lullabies loaded on it! The nightlight feature is also so cute and the perfect lighting amount. I do like to have video feed as well but if you're a worrying mama like me this makes me feel extra safe that we won't miss a thing!

They are very neat and modern design what would fit into any rooms/surfaces. The quality of the transmission are very clear and you can hear songs clearly thru these little cute monitors. We've been contemplating buying another camera for the playroom but after using the monitor, we decided to just keep that one in there. Not for her bedroom, for that one i put the camera back in, I do prefer having a visual when she sleeps. I did also enjoy using the sound machine option.We have a separate sound machine at the moment so it was nice having that in the monitor. Though I personally didn't like the night light part, it's just preference. It just distracts my daughter whenever we turn it on. But it's actually not too bright. It has 3 settings and we mainly used it on the lowest setting for diaper changes at night. It's convenient just not for me. For now, we're keeping the 2nd one in her bag. We took it with us to visit MIL last weekend and I loved how it didn't take up much space. I also noticed that it fits in my purse, but we have to be in range for it to work so I didn't take it anywhere. But it's still nice not having to carry her camera, plus her sound machine everytime we travel. The night light feature also worked as a flashlight to look through her diaper bag at night. And for the packaging, I was actually really excited when I saw how organized everything was. It was easy access to every time. My OCD was thankful for the organization. I love the quality and material of the chargers, though maybe them being in black would be better in case my toddler gets her hands on them.

The night lights are a great feature, especially since they take up outlet space. I have been looking for something to help me monitor my 8 year old as well, without being too intrusive of her privacy, and this was a great option! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Motorola Nursery PIP15-2 MULTI baby monitor is great for monitoring my two children, 1 and 4 years old respectively. The setup was a piece of cake: insert the batteries, plug it in inside their bedrooms, and turn it on. They automatically and seamlessly synced with the base station with no configuration or effort. The menu on the base station is a little tricky to navigate with the unit's keys. After reading the manual it became more clear and I was able to operate the device more easily. The sound quality is good and these are nice for not relying on a phone, wifi, or bluetooth. These really shine for travel or grandparents houses where our wifi-dependent camera monitors aren't feasible to setup. The night-light feature is handy for parent-visits to the little ones at night. The quality of the usb power/charge cables is very nice as well. Overall these baby monitors are great for an audio-only, non-wifi/smartphone dependent solution. I can hear what my baby is doing and don't feel the anxious need to repeatedly see on the camera. Also having two units helps so I don't have to unplug one and move it to another room when we aren't in the nursery. They're also pretty small which is a plus!
