Native Coconut & Vanilla Moisturizing Shampoo

Excellent texture and richness. It makes my curls pop!

The bottle is the worst to use. The pump doesn’t work.

The smell was great and I appreciate that the formula is free of all the parabens and sulfates. But the shampoo leaves my hair greasy and oily, and weighs down my hair immediately after washing and drying. I have fine hair, so it could be a factor. The shampoo makes my scalp feel like it is greasier than before showering. I will not be repurchasing this shampoo.

Coconut and Vanilla is an amazing scent, but I am always trying the holiday scents too. I got the Boston Kreme and it was absolutely amazing. I also ordered the Vanilla Sprinkle and was disappointed, the Boston Kreme smelled more like vanilla and sweetness than the Vanilla Sprinkle. Whether you try the classic coconut and vanilla or one of the holiday scents, the coconut and vanilla is always available and smells amazing!

The shampoo and conditioner caused a lot of hair loss and dandruff. I’m 25 years old, never had any concerns about my hair. Picture below is how much fell out in ONE shower.

I honestly don’t know what I was thinking. I should never have tried another Native product, after their deodorant gave me a huge blistering rash that they insisted was my skin “detoxing from harmful aluminum antiperspirant”, despite the fact that I hadn’t used one of those in over a decade. Anyway, this shampoo and conditioner are garbage. If you’re old enough to remember White Rain, it makes your hair feel like that, and if you’re too young, well, there was an urban legend that White Rain contained liquified plastics, so you have an idea of how my hair feels right now. It doesn’t feel remotely clean; instead, it feels like when you try to separate the hair on a doll. I can barely get my fingers through it, let alone a comb. Can’t wait to gleefully return this.

I am soooo sad about this. I was really loving this shampoo/conditioner bc I loved how my curls were drying but I have very thick and long hair and unfortunately I think that is why it took so long for me to realize how much hair I was losing. I have been using this shampoo/conditioner for 2 YEARS and have literally half of the hair I had before. And I only wash my hair once per week. SO sad and so frustrating. I didn't want to believe the other reviews, but don't make the same mistake I did!!

I consider myself a very healthy individual, always having a head of thick hair and a no family history of baldness. However, after using native for a few months I have discovered an extreme amount of hair shedding, itchy scalp, and hair dryness. It wasn't until recently that I started doing more research on Native and other peoples' experience while using it. I found that many people have experienced these side effects, and find it super upsetting and tragic that a company who prides themself on being such a healthy brand when it comes to shampoo, just for it to significantly damage my hair at such a young age. In conclusion, STAY AWAY FROM NATIVE SHAMPOO!

My hair wouldn’t stop falling out, couldn’t brush it, had to cut off 4 inches then needed to cut off more because same problem. It was this shampoo!!!! I washed once with another brand and my hair is soft again. I’m only glad I cut just my hair off and not my daughters too because she was having the same problem. Do not buy!

Made my hair fallout and caused reactions on both my own scalp and my daughter’s. Felt nice on the hair, but left me with patches of hair missing after a week of light use.

I purchased this item and then I saw online that people were saying it cause hair loss and scalp burns. I was very skeptical, but I decided to try the product anyway. Everyone reacts different to different products so I figured maybe other people are just have sensitive skin. however, my daughter and I tried it and after two uses, both of us said that our hair felt very dry and it was returned to the store.

Nice small size and smells great.

I was having a greasy, filmy coating on my hair & scalp for years. Hair loss also. I was ready to spend thousands on a water softener because it started when I moved. Turns out, it wasn't the hard water, it was this absolute TRASH of a shampoo! I stopped using it & after the first wash w another shampoo, problem was 90% better & then gone by wash 2. These other positive reviews are either a single wash of fake.

Whomever designed the bottle should be fired. Pump wouldn't open. Tried using the shampoo without it and ended up spilling a bunch.
