A: Unfortunately, I don't believe so. I've also tried to push button without a pod, and it doesn't respond to this. BTW, the brew temps are not very hot, one of my chief complaints.

Makes great coffee but rotating pod spinner gets stuck, really stuck between cups! Have to take a towel and manually turn it until it loosens, then it can be used again. Again, coffee is fantastic, but machine is a really pain. Originally went thru all the flush and error codes with online help, but now we just use a towel, open the lid and reach in and manually get it to turn. Not easy, but works.

The Nespresso Vertuo Plus is ALMOST perfect! It is the best machine & best value for your money! This machine almost does it all, but its overall performance and features makes up for its lacking. (It basically is not compatible with the 12oz Alto capsules). Perfect size water tank & waste basket. So so easy to use, pops up and down and press a button.

I was given this machine as a gift only two years ago and I was so excited. Unfortunately, it stopped reading the capsules only a few months after owning it. I had to jump through multiple hoops to get to working again (rinse, factory reset, unplug, wipe down, sing to it, etc.). Over the past two years this issue happened every few weeks. I was meticulous about cleaning, descaling, and keeping software up to date. When it works it’s great but it is the most frustrating machine I have ever owned. I had to call support twice. The last time they were very unhelpful and wanted me to use a brand new capsule to brew to troubleshoot (sure I’ll throw more money in the trash!). Before this machine, I had a Keurig for 12 years without issue! I’ll be going back to Keurig.

My Nespresso has truly changed my life. I always have the fresh bold flavors of a freshly brewed coffee or espresso without the hefty bill that comes with going to a coffee shop. I love that I can choose from such a large variety of flavors and brands so that everyday is a new bliss! I’ve had my Nespresso now for about 3 years and use it almost everyday and have never had an issue. It was so delicious that I had her take me right away to the Nespresso store and I bought myself a machine. I purchased the Virtuo Machine with the 40 ounce water dispenser and the cord that you can position both. I make myself a fancy drink every morning. I have found a number of Starbucks dupes that I love. I save myself a lot of money by making them myself. I am unbelievably happy with my purchase. My husband and I moved to Arizona and are living in a hotel until we close on our house. My Nespresso machine is set up and ready to go so I can have my fancy drink every morning.
