Totally worth it, 10 times better than a window unit. You can roll it around, make it oscillate, and set timers so it doesn't run all night. The water lasts alot longer than i expected and you can add ice.

This evaporator air cooler is fantastic, The apartment building where I'm living is under major renovations and we cannot use our air conditioning units during the renovation process, As a result of this, I purchased this unit and it seems to cool my small apartment very comfortably. I keep the windows closed to keep out the humidity and also add ice cubes every now and then to the unit when temperatures are a little hot. If you need an alternative to air conditioning this unit will do the job

I love this product. I live in the desert, and the central air cannot cool the master bedroom enough to make it where it's comfortable. So when I looked around at swamp coolers I felt this was the best choice to make. At night it feels like an air conditioner. Sometimes it gets so cold that I have to put on a blanket. No more do I have to toss and turn at night trying to keep cool this unit does that for me.

I purchased this about 2 1/2 hrs ago, and it has a minor leak near the casters & center bottom seam. Taking it back wasn't really an option as it was literally the very last portable evaporative cooler anywhere near where I live. We've been very cautious and careful to ensure that it is sitting on a snow boot mat to prevent damage to our antique hardwood floors. But the minor dripping out of nowhere turned into a full on leak from the seam on the bottom of the unit! Before it did work very well for cooling down our bedroom but now there's no way I can trust it in there. I've tried to reach out to customer service and couldn't manage to get any actual answers or help!! Very frustrated and very hot!!

Up and down louvers were broke and wont stay in one position, just down. Other than that not a blemish on machine. Kinda loud for an indoir unit. Took out air filters and finally got cold air and a tad quiter.
This is the best for off grid, solar energy!

This evaporative cooler is great as is the Newair service. I received this unit with a damaged caster from shipping and they responded promptly to ship a new caster. I purchased another Frigidaire unit a year ago from Newair and love that one too. Between these 2 units I have been going through at least 10 gallons a day and the ambient temperature seems to be about 10 degrees cooler than it was without these two units blowing some cool air. The dry Colorado climate is ideal for evaporative coolers and they are so much more economical than A/C.

I bought my first unit a year ago. It was good and did the cooling as it was supposed to. I was happy with the product for the price. So I bought a second one almost right after. This summer I used the 2nd unit for the first time. It was leaking. I contacted newair and they agreed to replace it for me even it was out of warranty.

The cooler is what it is - a cooler. It's not an AC so if you set your expectations correctly, it will get the job done. I bought it to augment cooling in my office which, despite central AC, is hotter than the rest of the house due to all the computer equipment. The cooler does the job and helps keep the heat down. I'm in season 2 of my new equipment and wanted to replace the filters. The manual is not very clear on the part names of the multiple filters, nor which should be replaced when or how often. I went through Newair customer service to find out about replacement filters, and while there was still some confusion on getting the right parts out to me, the customer service was exceptional. This team is really well trained and focused on a top-notch customer experience. They were helpful, available, responsive and followed through on their commitments. I'll call out Dennis for his great customer service.
