It really works!
It's kind of amazing, because it's... as described! You put 1-4 eggs inside it, fill the lower part of the egg to the fill-line with water, and nuke it for the amount of time on the instructions. (The only thing that would be better is if the instructions were embossed into the top curve of the egg itself.) Set it to soft-boil, pop some toast in the toaster, and there's a nice eggy breakfast! Or dinner. Snack. Whatever. I have only used it once -- it just arrived today -- but I anticipate hauling it out whenever I want some eggs and don't want to boil a whole pot of water for just 1-4 eggs. (As near as I can tell, it works by making an alumininium faraday cage around the eggs themselves, so they don't explode, and the microwaves heat the water in the bottom, which steam-boils the eggs. SCIENCE!)

the ONLY way to boil eggs
Ive had this gadget for decades, makes perfect eggs every time with shells that slip off in 2 pieces in some cases. Trick is to figure out how it works with your own micro. I have an 800w and previously had a 700w and my recipe is 9mins on high and let sit 5-6 mins then cool in cold water and put in a bowl in the fridge. If green, you let sit too long before cooling. I use large eggs and pick out 4 of the smallest most uniform ones from the carton and place large side down. Price has only gone up a couple of dollars over the years. worth every penny. The aluminum tray will discolor with use but that is what aluminum does. I like to cook 4 at a time rather than try to tweak my recipe. Should take no more than a doz eggs to figure out your particular recipe. big deal.

double the cooking times
I don't know who comes up with cooking times they're waaay off. 4 eggs at 6 minutes are not even a little cooked. at 9 minutes in a thousand watt oven they were about soft. the electric cookers work much better.
