Q: Hi! I'm looking for a purple shampoo but i have noticed a few people mention sometimes it adds a purple tint to their hair. I'm honestly scared to try a purple shampoo now. Will this product leave purple tint in my hair?

A: Hi Raincloud! In some instances, if the hair has high porosity there’s a chance that more pigment will remain on the hair after rinsing. The violet used in Blonde Moment is water soluble, not a direct dye, so if this does happen any residual color can be readily removed with a non-tinted shampoo.

A: Hi, there! The deep violet pigment in Blonde Moment also works to tone brass and/or yellow undertones in silver, gray, and white hair! So you can rock those silver streaks :-)

This does not necessarily translate to a lighter hue, but will help brighten it up by coating it with a deep violet pigment. Look at the verified purchased reviews, not promotional ones. I have used this shampoo for years, but last purchase I noticed the bottle mentioned a new formula. Used it twice now, and definitely worse. Tons of buildup left in hair, no longer lathers at all, very thick and hard to get thru hair, and dried out my hair badly. Returned and moving on to a new brand now. Sigh.

I usually find purple shampoo strips my hair but just after shampooing alone my hair felt soft. Definitely recommend giving it a try!

After trying multiple products, she said this is the ONE. Easily got brassiness out her hair after a use (paired with conditioner). Happy with the scent and size BUT NOT the packaging. There was no foil covering the shampoo and upon opening product started coming out.

I’ve been adding various forms of blonde highlights lowlights balayage for 7+ years and am very familiar with the struggle of bleached blonde hair going brassy since my natural hair color is pretty dark. I’ve tried about 6 or so different purple shampoos and conditioner combos and I have to say for how much product you get and how well it works this is one of my favorites. It’s right up there with the higher end olaplex and Amika products.

This lathered up nicely and felt very hydrating. Those dark violet pigments are my secret against brassiness and yellow tones. It has a very nice scent and leaves my hair soft and smelling great. I highly recommend it!

I saw other reviews saying it was okay to use purple shampoo on dark hair. The shampoo was very thick and seemed to be good quality. I was worried that it was going to make my hair greasy/oily as it felt like it was leaving behind a waxy film on my hair but that was not the case! My hair has stayed nice and clean. In the pictures I feel it looks like my hair darkened? But in person I feel it looks the same color wise.

This product I have to continually use every wash to keep it blonde and shiny. Better than the bio silk purple shampoo but not better than Olaplex. So good depending on your budget!!
