Q: This might be a stupid question, but how do you use this? Lol. Like step by step. I put the head in the clean water, then wring it out, then mop, then put the head in the clean water again? Wouldn't that still just make the clean water dirty?

submitted by Iain - 4 years ago
  • A: Thanks for reaching out Lain! 1)Open the Flow Valve to allow water to fill the clean water reservoir. 2) Saturate the mop head with water 3) Wring out the mop head to the desired level by spinning it in the wringer basket. 4) Mop away! If you feel that the mop head is still holding a lot of moisture, you can wring it dry before going back to the clean water tank. Our mop allows the user to control the level of water they are applying to their floors. If you are mopping a stubborn mess that is stuck onto tile, you can step on the pedal just a couple times to leave a healthy amount of water still in the mop. If you are moping hardwood or linoleum, and don't want to apply too much water, you can step on the pedal seven or eight times to have the mop head just damp. So, if your mop head is still very wet after moping, it would be a good idea to wring out the excess water prior to going back to the clean water tank. Happy cleaning!

  • A: Lain-I'm with you on your question and they really don't explain it with their answer. You are definitely putting the dirty mop head back in the clean water. I was about to buy this until I started thinking about this.

submitted byGlenn - 4 years ago
  • A: Hello! I realize that this question was posted 5 months ago but for anyone else reading through these wondering this.....because I definitely was too before I bought it. What they don't show in the pictures or videos or description is the most important part! Inside of the bucket, not the spinny side but the clean water side, is a red plastic tab. You can kind of see it in some of the pictures. When you pull that up, it allows clean water to flow into the bucket. And when you push it back down it obviously stops the flow of water. So.....allow some clean water into the clean water side, wring it out, mop your floor, then when you want to rinse the mop, allow a small amount of water into the clean water side, allow your mop to soak it up then wring it out. Now your clean water side is empty and your mop is clean. Pull the tab to let water back into the bucket and use this fresh water to mop. And repeat. Hope this helps someone!

Q: Is the step that is used to wring the mop not working seamlessly for everyone? This is the second mop I’ve purchased with the same problem.

submitted by ap23 - 8 months ago
  • A: Thanks for this question. I have the O Cedar spin mop and bucket. The foot pedal pushing down makes this weird noise (not the seamless push you should have) and I have to pull it up with my toes it won’t come back up on its own. This has done this since I got it! I was just looking to possibly get the rinse clean version. But apparently I might run in to the same problem I really don’t want to Continue wasting money because it’s a huge pain in the butt!

Q: Is there a "Deep Clean" refill mop head that works w/ the "RinseClean" model? Can you really ONLY use water to clean your floors with this? What's in the mophead that removes 99% of bacteria?

submitted by KittyBee - 11 months ago
  • A: Great question! The RinseClean system indeed has a Deep Clean refill available! Please check out online where you can find them near you! O-Cedar microfiber mop heads are made up of millions of tiny synthetic fibers. When used with water all of these tiny fibers loosen and mechanically pick up dirt and bacteria, and carry it away, without the use of harsh chemicals. ❤️

Q: Will the mop work on floor tiles and would it fast dry?

submitted by Liza - 11 months ago
  • A: Hi! The EasyWring Spin Mop is great for solid, finished hard surfaces including tile! The mop’s foot pedal lets you easily control the dampness of the refill, ensuring the perfect level of moisture for any cleaning task.

I bought this mop because I love the idea of wringing out the dirty water and using clean each time, BUT, the mop head is too small and scrapes the floor easily. The clean water side doesn’t really fill up as high as it needs to.
    1 reply from O-Cedar team - 4 days ago
We appreciate the feedback! The red triangle-shaped frame and connector on the RinseClean refill are smaller than the EasyWring Spin mop to provide improved maneuverability, however the actual microfiber mop strings are the same in size providing the same great cleaning performance and cleaning into tight spaces and corners. Hope this helps!

I love this mop so much. I feel like my floors are more clean now that I can rinse my mop in between! The only thing I wish was better was keeping the handle up when the mop is sitting in the bucket. It clicks to the handle but it doesn’t always stay in too well. But that doesn’t stop me from trying to convince everyone to buy this mop! I love this thing!

So I broke down and bought the O'Cedar rinse clean mop. I got it at Target because with a $50 purchase I could get a $15 gift card and also because I am a verified teacher according to their website (had to jump through hoops a few years ago for that) I got a $5 off credit and another 20% off discount. Anyhow here's my take... Well I have to say I'm NOT all that impressed with the mop. The mop head is too small and the plastic hits the floor, because it is hard to get the head to spread out. And technically the mop still is dirty when you put it in the clean water, so are you really cleaning with clean water? And it is microfiber, which I prefer a cotton mop. On the other hand it is better than ringing it out myself and sticking my hands on a dirty mop and it takes a lot less time than the steamer mop did....and at least it seems somewhat cleaner. Maybe after a few times I'll love it. 🤷‍♀️

This is the stupidest ‘mop’ I have ever used. The handle doesn’t stay up - constantly falling down; the mopping pad doesn’t stay spread out to so every time you try and move it around you end up rubbing the plastic pieces against the floor; using the clean water for a dirty mop was good in theory but didn’t hit the mark. Save your money and buy a regular mop.

It’s junk. The mop is too short to do much and cheaply made, hence the option to purchase more mop heads.
    1 reply from O-Cedar team - 8 days ago
Once fully extended your handle should be 48 inches, and you should see 3 different sections (one red and two gray metal tubes). If you are not seeing all sections, it is likely “section 3” attached to the gray Thread Plug that is not extending. Please remove the red triangle base by unscrewing the connect from the handle. Then try twisting the grey thread plug at the very bottom of the handle while holding firmly onto section 2 with the opposite hand. We hope this helps! Breaks Constantly and Feels Wasteful to Keep Replacing

I’ve been loyal to this mop system for years, but the quality has significantly declined. Over the past year alone, I’ve had to replace it 2 to 3 times, and I’m done. The gear mechanism in the bucket wears out too quickly, so the spin function stops working, and the mop just sits there soaking wet. On top of that, the handle keeps collapsing while I’m using it. It’s incredibly frustrating. What really bothers me is how wasteful it feels. With how often I’m having to toss entire buckets and handles, it feels completely irresponsible to keep repurchasing. It's adding unnecessary waste to the environment for something that should be built to last longer than a few months. This used to be a great product. Now it feels cheap, disposable, and unsustainable. Time to find a better option.

I like the spinning feature - makes the process way faster. The only negatives I may think of is that the bucket is very bulky, it barely fits in our utility sink making it hard to clean. And the bucket is not balanced. When filled with water, it tilts towards one side which makes it not very convenient to carry.
