Secure the battery door, or you will lose your batteries
The battery door needs to be located somewhere else and lock more securely. We took these to an MLB game, and the door kept popping open (and I lost batteries because they fell out and rolled away without me knowing). The fan and mister work well, but having to fumble with putting the batteries back in several times over the course of three hours in a cramped stadium in 100-degree weather was not worth it. After this happened three times, we quit using them. I thought they would be perfect for working in the yard and walking the dogs, but they're going back.

Purchased this mister for the Fourth of July, put batteries in it, and the fan only worked for one day. When we tried to use it the following day the fan no longer turned on even with changing to new batteries. Waste of money, buy a non misting rechargeable fan instead.

I gave it three stars because it does a good job, when it works. The only problem was that it only worked for about five minutes. It still squirted, but the fan would not run. I tried everything to no avail. The good news: Target exchanged it for another one with no hassle. My daughter has one that has served her well for several years. I just got a bad one.

Great misting fan
We have purchased other brands and they do not hold up like this one has. The only issue that we have had with this is where the batteries go. Sometimes the cover does not stay shut and/or it pops open easily. There is a good amount of airflow with a low noise level.

Our power went out for 2 days during a bad storm. Out of desperation we bought these and holy cow they were awesome… I put them next to my bed and left them on all night and we woke up comfortably. They do have a little bit of a plastic smell but you can look past it

This comes in handy if you're sitting or walking out in the sun! Or if your car AC stops working. (no distracted driving remember.) The mist wets your skin slightly when u pull the trigger, but the little fan drys it in seconds. The fan part is noisy, and this thing would be perfect if it were quiet. A bit overpriced as with most things these days.
