  • A: Ditto about having for 12 years, only ours are probably closer to 18-20 years without any problems whatsoever! Finally the batteries, (built in & permanent), and only just recently, began taking longer to charge and holding less power, thus buying new. Otherwise, they just never die. Zero complaints on our part. Just be sure to replace your brush every three months!

Q: I have mine a month now and it leaves a white residue when left standing in the bathroom cabinet. The toothpaste I use is green and I wipe the brush down before putting it in the cabinet. Any ideas?

  • A: Probably the scale in the water and residual water and toothpaste stuck in the nooks and crannies and under 5be brush head. I shake off and dry the entire wand with a towel after removing the head and do the same with the head and store it off the wand between brushing.

    Pressure sensor doesn't work and no 2 min timer

    The reason for the 2 stars is that the pressure sensor doesn't work and there is no 2 minute timer (but it does alert you every 30s). The device has 3 modes, like it says in the ad, but the manual states there are 4 modes.

    Slippery when wet

    Being elderly, I find it difficult to press the on/off button and the barrel is slippery when wet even though it has a slightly textured back. My prior Braun electric tooth brush had a rubber coating to eliminate the smooth surface. Other than that, I am pleased with the item.

    No Over Pressure Alert

    While this toothbrush has a pressure sensor there is no indicator or alert that you are exceeding the pressure. Returning as soon as I can.

    Disappointing

    I've had an oral B electric toothbrush for over 20 years. This one has 3 speeds, so you either have to push the button 3 times to get it to cycle through the speeds to shut off or hold the button down. Speaking of the button... it's not raised like my previous one of the same model, so it's hard to find. My last one lasted for over 10 years, so I'd say they are built well, but the new "features" aren't great.

    Soes not last long

    Charger Failed After 6 Months

    This is a decent value, and the brush is effective. However, the charger has failed after only 6 months. The charger was not dropped and did not get wet, it simply failed spontaneously.

    Sensor is fantastic

    My dentist has been saying for 4 years that areas I brush too hard. I didn't believe them, but turns out I do! Thanks to this tooth brush that senses and let's me know. I couldn't believe they were right. Definitely worth the price to save my gums from recession further due to brushing too hard. Hope it lasts!
