Ouidad Advanced Climate Control Defrizzing Shampoo - Ulta Beauty

I have tried lots of different shampoos with different results. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I wanted to try something different so I got this one to try while I was on vacation and I was surprised at how much more curly my hair looked. I love it.

Using this genuinely dried out my hair to a point I cant believe. Weeks later and I still cant get my hair to hold like it could before I used this. My hair can barelt keep itself together overnight like it could before, and feels so dry- and the conditioner with it is zero help.

Ever since switching to this to give it a try i have been having blotches of sores on my head and I'm not sure if it's the chemicals in this product or its just not for me. I'll be switching back to my previous go-to shampoo and conditioner..

This might be an unpopular opinion but it worked about the same as my Aussie shampoo & conditioner and was like quadruple the price. I'm gonna use them since I opened them and tried it but I probably won't be buying again.

I was excited to try a new shampoo stating it helped with frizz. One week into using it my scalp was always so itchy, and I lost CLUMPS of hair every time I washed it with this shampoo. So I did a deeper dive and researched it-to come across an article stating carcinogens were noted. Very sad considering I was so excited to try this :(

I have fine, curly hair that tends to frizz easily and have tried a lot of curly girl shampoos. This is my favorite so far. It lathers nicely, has a nice scent, and once dry, my hair looked shiny, felt soft, and my curls were bouncy without any frizz.

Love Ouidad's climate control line of products. This shampoo lathers well & smells so good. Always leaves my curls feeling clean and reduces the frizz

Didnt know what to expect as I usually buy wholesale but these were on sale so i decided to try them. My hair is naturally wavy and tends to get frizzy. It also is highlighted which just adds to the frizz. After using this product my hair is considerably less frizzy and alot more manageable. It just looks healthier. Its not heavy and I honestly dont need to put any oils in afterwards. I do use a blowdry spray if i blowdry but even when i dont it still not near as frizzy as it used to be. Im pleasantly surprised. The smell is meh but nothing bad imo.

It's good. That's it. I have Greek hair so it doesn't really do as much as other ouidad products (prefer curl quencher) but it was the only one in stock at my ulta. Good to have and will use it for sure but home the other product gets restocked!

i have thin wavy hair, but this shampoo wasn't a good fit for my hair type. it felt too heavy for my hair and i felt like i needed to wash it again the next day. that was the only issue.

Whoever is reading this please do NOT buy this! I bought this to get rid of my frizzy hair & all it gave me was severe dandruff & fungus! Its been almost 2-3 months since i used it & till this day I'm suffering the consequences. Do not use any of their products!

Did not leave hair feeling hydrated or less frizzy. Left it feeling dry. I did use the matching conditioner afterwards and left it in for three minutes before rinsing like the bottle said to do. After having hair in towel to dry some my hair came out tangled and bone-dry. I have wavy/semi-curly hair. Will not be using/purchasing again. Sad to have wasted my hard-earned money on a poorly designed hair product.

I'm an Afro-Latina who has low porosity 3c/4a curls that struggle to retain moisture and my curls are always frizzy. I live in the desert, which doesn't help my porosity, and I have a hard time defining my curls. This product was AWFUL! After washing my hair with the Advanced Climate Control Shampoo, followed by the conditioner in the same line, my hair felt like a Brillo pad. IT WAS HORRIFYING! It felt dry, stringy, and brittle... like I was running my fingers through wire. Knowing that this can happen when trying a new product, I used it for almost 2 months to give it a fair chance. After using this for 2 months, my hair was the worst I have ever felt it 🥺 Not only was it damaged from this product, but it was breaking off like crazy, and even worse, IT WAS FALLING OUT!!! I don't use drugstore brands on my hair, and tend to spend more than I'd like all in the name of having healthy hair, but what a waste of money on this junk. I have spent the past 6 months trying to baby my hair to fix the damage this product did. My thick curls that I would have to section off in 6 sections to detangle can now by done with a simple part down the middle 😭 I was beyond disappointed in this brand and would not recommend this line.

didn't help with frizz at all. made me have really bad dandruff and bad my scalp BLEED. don't get this.

This shampoo is awesome I love it!

Love this product for my natural curly hair. I don't the frizz I did with other products and it's so easy to style. It's soft and the frizziness is under control.

This shampoo & conditioner duo created more frizz and breakage than any shampoo I've ever used. I'd rather use a drug store brand than put this on my hair again.

My hair had the same amount of slight frizz after using this, so not much difference from other shampoos. I expected more from a curl-specific shampoo with "defrizzing" in its name. I have wavy 2b/2c hair. I'll be returning this.
