I have a very curios little one and somehow managed to rip the power cord from the camera and unfortunately broke. I’m out of the warranty date by a month si there’s nothing that can be done. It’s unfortunate that owlet doesn’t have a replacement sensor cord I can purchase for the camera and am just having to use it as a regular monitor powered by a usbc cord without temperature readings. Super bummed out I can’t use the dream duo the way it was intended.

I’ve had to camp out on the floor next to my baby’s bedroom door numerous times just because the camera quit monitoring randomly in the middle of the night and I was scared I wouldn’t hear her wake up!! When the camera works, the video and sound are decent despite a small delay. But the setup process is absolutely terrible. Every time you move the camera to a new Wi-Fi, you have to set it up from scratch with a clunky QR code system that fails more often than it works. I’ve wasted hours trying to reconnect it, and success feels more like luck than anything else. Owlet really needs to fix the setup process. Until they do, I cannot recommend this product.

Very bad. Does not have bluetooth connection option, it constantly disconnects from WiFi, only supports 2.4 Ghz wifi, does not remember networks if you bring your camera with you travelling and return home (for example), kills your phone battery when in use, and most of the time takes forever to connect to a network on setup - it constantly goes back to the pairing stage. This latter point has been so frustrating that often we just forego using the camera when at home. The good: Sound and video quality are very good, and it has fun features like taking a video when your baby moves. Unfortunately, this camera cannot be trusted to function properly and the setup is very faulty. We will be purchasing a new camera (one that can connect via Bluetooth as well as wifi)

I’m sorry but this camera is not good. I’ve had it for 18 months and every week I have to restart it and connect it back to my wifi. It happens in the middle of the night every time. No matter how many times I connect it to the wifi it doesn’t work. It keeps disconnecting or saying the camera is offline. For this price I expected better.

The quality is of the camera is not good. The camera is extremely sensitive. Additionally, the app is horrible. It always needs to be uninstalled and re-installed. Literally daily! It crashes, loses connection, freezes, you name it. Not worth the money at all.

My daughter is almost two.. we just never got a new monitor. Let me tell you.. I will never recommend this camera to ANYONE. It’s awful.. disconnects all the time. Disconnects at night all the time while we are sleeping.. if we travel with it sometimes we can never get it connected when this is supposed to be a helpful tool in making sure your baby is safe and give you peace of mind.. I could go on and on about how much I hate this thing. It’s currently NOT connecting and now I have to sneak into my sleeping child’s room and try to reconnect it.. DO NOT BUY.

the worst camera ever. do not waste your money. 9/10 times the camera will not load and keep saying it’s disconnected from internet. i’ve seen more of a “loading screen then my baby” Literally the most aggravating thing and stressful thing. Not worth the time, money, or effort. DO NOT BUY!

We love this camera so much but after 9 months it disconnected from our internet and won’t connect again. We’ve tried every advice and tip imaginable for three straight days now and no luck. We even tried contacting owlet support and got no response. For such an expensive camera this is very frustrating.

Do not buy this piece of junk camera ! My baby was born at the end of May and I started using the owlet shortly after. I unplugged it to take it somewhere and replugged it back in, it now won’t reconnect to my WiFi after multiple attempts, deleting the camera, deleting my account, etc. If you contact support they tell you to call your internet company and have your WiFi split. The product was working fine and now doesn’t. HUGE waste of money, I bought a competitor product to use instead because this one broke after 2 months.

From the first day we’ve owned this camera it would disconnect from the WiFi multiple times a day (we have very strong WiFi, so that was not the issue). Now, after a month, it will not connect at all. It is a very expensive paper weight. I reached out to Owlet customer service multiple times and they were entirely unhelpful. They have refused any refund or remedy - making the 1-year warranty a total lie. A few weeks ago I bought a competitor’s camera (V-Tech) and it connected the first time and hasn’t disconnected yet.

We bought this for our new baby and were very disappointed. The camera always go out. One night it went out and our newborn was crying for who knows how long. He was drenched from sweat and his hair was wet from tears when we checked on him. We ended up buying the vtech monitor and love it! I think if they made this camera to be both WiFi and non WiFi it would be a good option.

This camera has caused us so many issues. After a year of having it, we can no longer get it to connect to WiFi. Have had it just over a year, but the warranty is only good for a year so customer service said there was nothing they could do to help. Highly recommend the sock though, have had no issues.

Bought this camera over 3 years ago and a second almost 2 years ago. It takes 30+ minutes to set up, and tech support is no help. I was able to look past the frustration of setting it up as the features of the camera justified the price. But now they updated their software and for me to have features I previously had for almost 3 years they require a $6/month subscription. So on top of $130 to get the camera, you have to pay $72 a year to use all the features that make the camera worth what it is. If I could return it, I would. Absolute scam behavior.

This is extremely unreliable and doesn’t stay connected. It made me, a first time mom, unable to relax and sleep at night because I was unsure if I would hear my baby cry and I couldn’t have peace of mind to look at him through the monitor. I would reconnect five different times in an hour and then I’d put my baby to bed and get the following picture constantly. I couldn’t go in and reconnect it every five minutes without risking waking him up. I’m just so disappointed and sad. I have to overnight ship a new monitor and just try to get through my anxieties tonight. I would NOT recommend this to anytime.

I’m so disappointed in this monitor and I wish I did my research before purchasing but I wanted the most high tech and expensive splurge for a monitor. I don’t love that you have to keep the monitor on your phone and cannot close the app or you will not receive any notifications for baby cries or sounds. It takes up a lot of phone battery usage. Camera streaming is delayed and sometimes takes a while to connect when you open the app or doesn’t connect at all. Also the night vision turns on only at night when the room is completely pitch black. Even though I have a blackout curtain during the day the camera is too dark and cannot see baby sleeping in crib. I wish there was an option to turn on the night vision. Save your money and get an old school monitor!
