This is harsh, but I absolutely hated this product. I bought this for detangling my son's coily hair, and it actually made it more tangled. Did I get a bad batch or something? I'm baffled that so many gave this a good review. I've been pleased with the other many products I've bought from this line, but this was NOT IT. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with a large bottle.

I use it with the steamer and have noticed a significant reduction it my hairs shedding levels during detangling and I dont feel like I'm ripping hair out trying to comb through it.

I love this hydrating nectar so much I took it with me to the salon for my stylist to use on my hair this week! With this nectar I could detangle and style my hair without worries which is so important because I have tight but fragile coils that constantly feel dry and break easily. My hair felt moisturized, soft, and flexible with this nectar. I’m grateful for the brilliance of black women I bought Pattern Beauty’s Detangling Nectar after seeing it featured on Instagram. Buy it and you won’t be disappointed. I pair this with the Pattern breakage barrier hair mask which is an incredibly moisturizing mask! I wish there was a hair styler with all the ingredients of the mask that I could use for my twist out that has no hold just moisture!

For me, it's not especially important because I seldom wear my hair out, but it is useful (especially for 4c types) to ease out the tangles and knots as opposed to tearing out your hair or taking all day to get the tangled out.

I don’t see what people see in this detangler. It has minimal slip and it’s sticky. It just doesn’t detangle well. I have 4a or maybe more closer to 4b hair. It also stinks. There is a floral scent to it that I personally don’t like in my hair but there’s also an odor undertone.
Definitely a must purchase.
