Q: Would this cover fit TIGHTLY on a mattress that is only 6" deep? Also, is there any padding on the top?

A: Hi Maggie, although this protector does feature stretch sidewalls in all likelihood there will be some excess fabric. In some cases it is possible to tuck the fabric under the mattress. In terms of padding this does not have any fill. The top layer is soft for comfort but it will not add any loft to your mattress. Thanks for your question

Not so ‘waterproof’. We purchased these for our toddler’s bed. After an accident I noticed that it made it through to the mattress, so we added a second of this same mattress protector. Even with two of them, accidents still make it through to the mattress.

Kid had a night time accident and it went right through this "waterproof" pad. It's more water resistant but definitely not suitable for bigger spills or night time accidents. Very disappointed. I like that it was soft to the touch but maybe that's part of the downfall of thos product.

Despite the pictures of quilted mattress covers, this is flat, without quilting and not as comfortable as others I have ordered. It's waterproof, which is important but we have had it for 18 months and I have not reordered. I selected a more comfortable one instead.

This mattress pad was only waterproof for the first few washes. I had no intentions of writing a review but after today, I find it necessary in order to save someone else’s mattress. My daughter had an accident and the entire leak went through.
