Q: Is this safe to use if you have rosacea?

A: Not a doctor but a rosacea sufferer, also. What bothers one person’s skin could be tolerated extremely well by the next. That being said, I think it’s a very well formulated vitamin C and Dr. Sam Ellis (the creator of Prequel) has rosacea, too.

It arrived oxidized. I went to pump some out of the bottle and the product is a dark orange color (for a vitamin c product like this that means that it has spoiled and probably was not stored correctly.) I’m sure this is a Target issue and not a Prequel issue. This is completely useless now.

TRY this once, you’ll be hooked
I wasn’t sure I’d like this, but I’m pleasantly surprised. It must have a significant amount of vitamin C in its ingredients because it stings a bit on application for a few minutes, but then goes away. The best part, however, is my complexion looks brighter?, more luminous?, to the extent that my friends actually noticed and commented on it. I put it on my chest (it’s too red) and the tops of my hands too, and the spots/freckles have gotten lighter and my skin is just softer & smoother. So considering I haven’t been using it for much time, I’ve seen significant improvement and wonder how much better my skin will look if I continue to use it. So this will be a definite repurchase for me.

Oxidized within days. Now I have a whole bottle of completely useless product. This is very disappointing because I love all of Prequel's other products (urea moisturizer, half & half, foot rescue, SA Gleanser). I won't be purchasing this again.

Must have Vitamin C Serum!
I have tried several products from youtuber dermatologists. This is the first one that I re-purchased. I like everything about product. Packaging is very well made and convenient to use. The serum itself is great. I can't comment on the results because I use multiple products. People comment that my skin looks radiant, but not sure due to which product, or it is a combo of all of them. I like the ingredients of this serum, and I use it in the morning before my moisturizer. Also, big thank you to dr. Sam for charging reasonable prices compare to other dermatologists. All of the above reasons are why I am a returning customer. I will be checking other products to try out.

I really wanted to like this serum but the smell (bacon greasy/hot dog water) and runny/watery consistency were terrible. I’ve seen other reviews mentioning the same thing. Maybe I got a serum from a bad batch or something. I love all other prequel products and they have drastically helped my skin. This one just didn’t do it for me.

C - those even tones be gone!
Lucent-C is reasonably priced, feels great on my skin, and has helped even out tone! I spent/spend a lot of time outdoors because, duh, i live in CO. Even though I wear sunscreen all the time, there are hints of sun damage on my face. Lucent-C has definitely been helping reduce their color. I recently paired it with Prequels new Universal Skin Spray and i'm hoping for even better tone and evenness.

Awful packaging
Bottle is TERRIBLE and the product squirts out all over the place when it’s not already leaking. The product appears to have oxidized and is a brown color that smells awful. I love all the other prequel products but this is a total miss. I’ve had to return two bottles due to these issues.
