Q: Is this safe to use if you have rosacea?

A: Not a doctor but a rosacea sufferer, also. What bothers one person’s skin could be tolerated extremely well by the next. That being said, I think it’s a very well formulated vitamin C and Dr. Sam Ellis (the creator of Prequel) has rosacea, too.

A: Thanks for reaching out! Our bottles are pressurized to minimize oxidation caused by air and also to improve the pump's ability to get every last drop. The first pump or two might have a little extra oomph, but should go back to normal pretty quickly. We hope this helps!

Love the product! Soaks in easily, already notice brighter skin after just a week of using it. Has a slightly scent of cloves, which I really like. But the bottle is not great. Even with a half pump, WAY TOO MUCH product is dispensed.

The first time I used this product I noticed a significant difference in my skins overall appearance. My skin felt brighter and had a much healthier look. I'm putting this as a maybe because the smell is not great and the product oxidized right away. I did repurchase and use for a little bit but I was not as happy the second time around. I think I'm going to take a break from it and buy another time.

10/10/10 this follows immediately after use of the Gleanser and right before my moisturizer. Followed up with my SPF. Absolutely adds luminosity to my skin and can tell the difference in overall brightness and tone of my complexion with daily use. I'm out of this currently and need to restock asap. I purchased for the environmental protection as I live in densely populated city but immediate results within a week!

I used skinceuticals c+aha for 5+ years and decided to take a chance since mine always oxidized far too quick for $150. This is totally worth the money! The quality is there and my very sensitive and reactive skin has been great with it. I did have to add their multi acid peel to get the aha benefits that my skinceuticals had as an all in one, but it’s still a fraction of the cost! Would 100% recommend!!

Smells like hot dogs, my skin started stinging about 60 seconds after applying and didn’t let up. Had to wash it off immediately. I’d say if your skin is even semi sensitive, try another vitamin c.

It is not serum texture it is more liquid like toner, it burst all over my self when I first used it and it has an orange color that if you do not remove it quickly it stays on. My face immediately burned when I put it on. I tried it again and same feeling. It is not what they advertise.

Unfortunately, I will be returning this. I cannot get over the smell. After I used it I kept smelling a metal smell. I washed my hands several times and that did not help. I ended up having to wash it of my face and wash my hands multiple times to get the smell off. I wanted to like this but smell matters and I cannot do it.

I was really excited fior this product when it launched. I went through 2 bottles for a fair assessment. First off, it is thick and sticky. Burns a tiny bit after application but that doesn't last long. No noticeable improvement in the tone or texture of my skin. I won't be repurchasing.

This is the best vitamin c serum I’ve tired. In the past I’ve had bad reactions to other vitamins c serums, but this one has worked the best for my skin and I’ve seen a major difference since I’ve included it into my routine. Plus, you can’t beat the price point for this product compared to some other top tier vitamin c serums on the market that sell for $100+.

So far so good. It doesn’t irritate my skin. I definitely see some brightening after using this. Vitamin C is a must in my skin care routine since I have pretty bad melasma. I like the glass packaging, but the first two pumps were pretty intense. The product came flying out of the bottle and a large amount came shooting out. I had to open it to relieve some pressure, but I lost a large amount of serum all over my clothes and the wall. This may need some attention by the manufacturer. Otherwise I recommend. Just be aware of the first few pumps.

The reviews about the smell are hilarious. Ya'll tolerate this smell when it is a $180 bottle of skinfeuticals but not $23 from target. It's supposed to smell this bad. Great, cheaper alternative to skinceuticals.

I rated 3 starts because of the smell and the pump. First time using it so I can’t really speak on its efficiency on the skin. However, the first pump was a mess, I think it would be better with a dropper so you can control the amount of liquid. It was very watery not serum like. The smell made me nauseous, I can still smell it. It maybe be the ferulic acid?? But I can’t bear the using it again cause of the smell. It was too strong for me.

The product itself is fine. It does oxidize pretty quickly. My big quip is with the packaging. Once the pump won’t dispense any more product you think ok this must be finished. Wrong! Before tossing it, on a whim I decided to unscrew the top and see if anymore product was in there. A whole bunch came pouring out. I was so dismayed not to mention I’d made a complete mess. There was definitely about 2 or 3 weeks of vitamin C still inside that the pump couldn’t touch. And my unscrew and pour method was not ideal for dispensing these last weeks of product. I don’t know if the straw needs to be longer or if there’s a better fix but the current packaging doesn’t go well with this product. It needs to be a dropper or something else. I won’t buy this again. This exact thing happened to me with the redness relief too

Once you get to where the pump barely dispenses anything you think ok this is finished, right? Wrong! Unscrew the top and a whole bunch of vitamin c stuff comes gushing out. Please make the straw longer. There’s literally a week or 2 worth of product left and you have to pour it out and it gets everywhere not to mention you’re exposing it to light. Awful. The product is fine regular vitamin c thing. I had the same exact issue with their redness relief. Make the straw longer, simple fix. Won’t be buying this mess again.
