A: One of the photos in the ad shows the door open and 4 slices of toast are still on the tray inside. So I don't think the tray slides out when the door is opened.

A: Thank you for your question. The pan is dishwasher safe or you could line it with parchment paper. The crumb tray also helps maintain a clean oven.

Q: Why do the specs say 9.7"H x 16.38"W x 13.13"D and 8lbs? I ordered based on this, and it's only 8"H x 14.875"W x 11.5"D and 6lbs. None of the specs are correct; it only has two heating elements.

I haven't baked or broiled, so can't comment on those functions. Toasting takes a little longer than a conventional toaster, and the bread is lighter directly under/above the heat deflector so the toast comes out striped. The wire rack is 10.25" wide by 8" deep. The small pan is 9" wide by 8" deep. If the rack is on the bottom setting, max height would be approximately 2.5". If on the top setting, max height approximately 1.25". Four melba toasts would fit, not sure about regular-sized toast. A 9-inch pizza definitely would not fit. The crumb tray unlatches at the front and drops down, but cannot be removed. This makes cleaning a little tricky as you can't easily get at the back or under the heating element. Can't comment on quality yet, but hopefully it will last a few years. I recommend this IF you can live with the above.

Bought this to replace an old HamiltonBeach toaster oven that I've had for years, but which has just started making noises like a helicopter getting ready to take off. This Proctor Silex looked similar, but is not! It is lightweight (and feels flimsy), and the crumb tray is only accessible by lifting up the whole toaster oven and releasing a not-intuitive catch on the bottom of the unit. Never even turned it on, because I have no interest in unplugging the unit and carrying it to the garbage can each time I want to empty the crumb tray.

It includes a nice bake pan, with a drop down crumb tray. Clean up is super easy. You can adjust the temp from 150-450 (F). We have used it to bake cookies, as a toaster, broiled veggies, quick chicken nuggets, and of course for some pizza! There is a timer and a bell when ready, and it has a nice auto shutoff feature. This little oven gets it done!

I own several products by Hamilton Beach and the brand is synonymous with quality merchandise. This toaster oven is no exception. I love that , although it is compact in size, it performs like a normal size oven . A variety of foods can be made using it , with a temperature that ranges from 150-450 degrees . It comes with a baking pan and oven rack , which are added bonuses. We use it all of the time and doesn’t take up very much room on our countertop. We are very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone .
