  • A: I bought this product recently and (in my opinion) it smells awful. Although it does smell somewhat like coconuts, it also smells like a combination of plastic and vomit: very artificial & strange. It’s disappointing since Pacifica products usually smell great. I will have to donate it or throw it out because I can’t stand the smell.

    This face wash is great. Doesn't dry my skin. My husband uses it, too. I think the scent has changed a bit in the last year. I prefer the original scent but it is still okay. It rinses clean. Does not over dry the skin, even in my dry climate.

    My Go-to face wash!

    My go-to face wash! And it lasts me a long time. I’ve tried so many, from different target brands, Sephora & ulta. I’ve been using this for like 10yrs. I’m super sensitive with scents and this one smells so light and clean. It always works great at taking all my makeup off. My skin always feels so clean, soft and plump after using. Anytime I try other washes, I always have this in my cabinet &come back to this one. They recently changed the bottle, it looks bigger now. Interested in seeing if it’s changed in any way.

    Lovely beachy, cruelty-free face wash

    This is a lovely, cruelty-free face wash. It's very gentle, and I love the subtle but pleasant beachy scent — perfect for cold winter days, where you'd rather think of sunny days on a beach. I love that Pacifica products are vegan, and this is a great one.

    Wouldn't purchase again

    I started using the face wash and noticed that my face began to sting. Specifically my left eye started puffing up to where I almost couldn't see out of it anymore. Made my eyes look like the picture attached below. Definitely wouldn't recommend for sensitive, delicate skin.

    "Avoid contact with eyes" (see ingredient list)

    Pacifica used to be my go-to clean brand until they sold out and cheapened and reformulated their products. This facial cleanser is the biggest disappointment. It no longer removes makeup thoroughly, burns my eyes horribly, dries out my skin and the coconut fragrance is different, it’s a thicker artificial type of smell. The newer packaging reflects the ingredient changes with a warning to "avoid contact with eyes" - which is wild since it’s for makeup removal.

    Excellent Mild Soap

    I have been using this mild face wash for a couple of years now and it works well on my combination skin. Primarily I use this in the morning and/or when my skin is dry as it helps keep it feeling hydrated, clean and well nourished. What I love the most is that this brand is animal cruelty free. I highly recommend adding this to your skincare routine! And the coconut scent is amazing!

    Not as expected.

    I was excited for this face wash as our previous one was discontinued. We like clean vegan products but this dried out the skin around my eyes very badly. It took over a week to heal. We did try honest brand face wash and that’s been working great.
