Hi jerrod. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts on the VH105 0101. We know that tank size can be confusing, so we are happy to clear the air here. We list tank size the same way that our competitors do in order to show an apples-to-apples comparison. The tank size listed is not the capacity; it is the size of the tank drum. The collection capacity is less than the tank drum, and different depending on whether dry or liquid material is being vacuumed. For liquids, the capacity cannot exceed the amount of liquid that can fit in the tank below the bottom of the intake port, otherwise it would flow out of the hose when vacuuming is complete (and create a whole new mess). The float inside the filter cage is a cut-off device for this reason, and will stop liquid collection before that point. This is one of the main reasons that liquid collection is less than solid collection. Solid collection capacity depends on what type of material is being vacuumed as well, but generally, it will be higher than liquid because it can fill around the sides of the filter all the way up to the lid of the power head without triggering the float. We hope this helps to clear up any confusion regarding tank size. Holy grail for cleaning pet stains on carpet!
Our dog had a couple of accidents on one section of the carpet and we couldn't get the smell out. We have an old mini green steam cleaner and it did nothing but get the carpet wet. I knew we needed more suction power but didn't want to spend $100+ on a carpet steam cleaner and then I found this VacMaster. Looked up the specs and saw that this runs on 600 watts vs. only 330 watts for the old mini green steam cleaner. WELL.... it worked like a charm. I used our regular vacuum cleaner first to pull up dog hair, then sprayed the carpet generously with Target's Up&Up Enzymatic Pet Stain and Odor Eliminator (which is half price of the national brand), let it sit for 10 minutes per the directions, and then sprayed about 1 cup of water on top of that and scrubbed it up. Then turned on this VacMaster and used the 2-in-1 utility nozzle attachment without the brush bristles attached, so it could suction directly from the carpet. I vacuumed very slowly for maximum suction. After 10 minutes, this VacMaster pulled up ALL of the enzyme pet spray and water. Every single ounce. Plus a bunch of dog hair that our regular vacuum cleaner missed. I couldn't believe it.... now the carpet smells fresh and clean. I am thrilled! If you need to do spot treatments, this is way more powerful than those mini carpet steamers, not to mention much cheaper. Highly recommend.

Inconsistent suction
The suction seems inconsistent. Even during the first use when I hadn't vacuumed up much of anything, the house was not picking up even tiny debris. It works, I guess, but it's frustrating. I love a bargain but feel like this one didn't hold up.

Vacumn has a lot of power. Comes with really nice nozzles that covers most any need. Wanted a wet/ dry vac to suck up any wet spots that happens in car this coming winter. Also wanted something to suck up everyday dirt in car and small rooms like bathroom. And as I am disabled something small enough for me to handle by myself. This vac fits all my needs. Terrible small shop vac
This vacuum was junk! It constantly tipped over, causing the suction to stop. Hose was too short, not flexible enough. After less than 6 months, it just quit turning on. Garbage! Especially Not good for pet care professionals.
