Italian Roast
I have been a Major Dickasons fan for a number of years, but lately, it has just not tasted as good (normally purchase at a local grocery store). I ordered the Italian Roast and I have been super happy with the taste. I wonder if it is not only the different roast, but also the fact that I assume it is fresher when I order it online.

Sampling Roast Types
I have been trying different types of roast. I don’t like the dark type. The flavor was okay but the bitter aftertaste was to much for me.

Want an Excellent Dark Roast Italian Roast is it.
I really like Italian Roast and have been looking for a good one and finally found it. I like a good dark roast and Italian Roast from Peets is it. I use to drink Italian Roast from a competitor but its Italian Roast tastes like burnt coffee and Peets does not.

Italian Roast: consistently good.
This is a good dark roast that is well priced relative to the single country of origin alternatives. The beans smell great, grind up consistently and turn out well in my drip coffee maker. This blend doesn't have the complexity of some of the other dark roast coffees from Peet's, but it's a solid dark roast thats quite smooth.

An important part of an espresso mix
Both the French Roast and the Italian Roast are excellent, but the flavor of the Italian Roast is definitely better. I use 1/2 Aged Sumatra, 1/3 Italian Roast, and 1/6 Brazil for my espresso mix (I drink 3-4 espresso a day) and it's better than any espresso in any coffee bar I've had in Italy, or Europe, or North America over the last 50yrs. Aged Sumatra provides the heavy body (with zero acidity) and the lingering flavors, Italian Roast provides the initial taste, and Brazil adds hazelnut flavor as well as a carefully measured amount of acidity.

Found My Favorite Coffee Bean
Since I couldn’t find the whole bean Italian Dark Roast in any local store, I decided to look on line and order directly from company. So glad I did. It was an easy transaction and I received my coffee within a couple days. The bag is larger than they sell in stores which I also like.
