Horrible smell
The smell reminds me of the disinfectant they put into portopotties/outhouses or any place without indoor plumbing. I bought this to put into our large deck box where we store lounge cushions when not in use. Although dry, the cushions always came out with a musty smell. Now they come out smelling like a urinal. Not sure what was worse. Needless to say will not be repurchasing.

Not To My Liking
I'm not a fan of this product at all. I purchased this to rid a kitchen cabinet of the odor caused by garlic stored there. I was naively assuming that it would have little to no scent at all but, in fact, it has a fairly strong and pungent plant-like scent, not at all to my liking. I was hoping that it would be fragrance-free and just eliminate the odor as other products. But given the pungent scent, I think this product is merely masking the garlic odor rather than eliminating it. My best advice - caveat emptor!

Subtle Fragrance
Pleasant scent and I enjoy it. Not made to scent the room . It is more of an odor remover . Just received it so will update. The gel will not spill and non toxoc but still plan to keep up and away from children and pets. It is very expensive so that will be a reason not to putchase often.

Not worth it
Smells good when you shake it but scent fades fast and does nothing. I have it in my walk in closet and you’d never know it was in there.

Not sure where all the positive reviews are coming from. I have this odor removing gel in my powder room which is extremely small and I do not smell it what so ever.

Works great but picked a different scent when buying again.
I live in a difficult to air out apartment so after cooking certain foods the smell takes a few days to completely clear out. One tub of these gets rid of food smells overnight! Since its just a tub it's super easy to place anywhere unlike some fragrance products that have to be plugged into an outlet. I move this around between our closet and kitchen. The scent isn't my favorite but it's super mild and I don't really notice it unless I'm sitting close to the tub. It's been 2 months since we opened it and they're still about half of the gels left (label says to expect 30-45 days of use). I purchased another tub already in a different scent that I'll hopefully like better.

Odor-causing!
Bought two of these. One for our bathroom and the other for our walk in closet. No issues with the one in the bathroom. But the one in the walk-in closet… another story. Our neighboring apartment unit must have a heat source near a wall that we share right by our walk-in closet or something, and when powered on, it activates a reaction in the gel and makes it emit an odor that can only be described as plant-based bug spray. We can’t 100%confirm that it was a neighbor’s heat source that activated it (no heat source in our own apartment unit was powered on at the time), but it only happened at night from about 11pm to 6 am. The smell itself was bad enough, but the symptoms it caused were way worse — mild paralysis in limbs, overactive thyroid, pain in upper right abdomen, overall weakness, headaches. We didn’t know it was the gel causing it at first. We removed every single item from the closet, and as soon as we removed the canister of Fresh Wave, the smell disappeared from the closet. It’s been a couple weeks after we put everything back except for the Fresh Wave, and the smell has not returned. It’s ironic that it’s supposed to be odor-removing… but instead it was the one causing the odor!

Way better than I expected
Back in the day, I would use those citrus magic room deodorizers for like the closet where the litter box was. I needed something for my dogs’ room to get rid of pet odors. I’d didn’t have high expectations for this and thought maybe it will provide slight improvement a few feet away from the little plastic cup. But, I’m shockingly surprised by this little thing’s out performance! Surpassed my expectations. Zero odors when you step into the room. It’s magic. Worth the price, which was my biggest barrier to buying this. As long as they don’t change the formula, I highly recommend this product.

Works in small areas. I had mine in my bathroom, at first it was very pungent but the smell did last longer than a week. Waste of 10 buck-a-roonies imo. :/
