Q: why do i need a rubber mallet to assemble this. nothing in directions says anything about a mallet

A: Some parts of this Bar Stool may fit together snuggly. You may want to use the mallet to make sure everything is fit together completely in case something is sticking or not fully inserted.

Do not buy
One of the barstools came damaged. I would like to return both chairs as the directions to put them together were not clear and they are not strong enough. Too expensive for the cheap quality
