Q: Is the lightening from this product permanet or semi-permanent?

A: Lightening is always permanent, you need to bleach to lighten hair- this is bleach :) I believe this bleach is meant to be used with the Colorista line of semi-permanents pastels and bright colors. If you have dark hair, you won't be able to see blue or pink, green, etc. unless you bleach those strands first, so you would use this bleach to lighten the strands or whatever parts of the hair you want the color to show. You can use any bleach to pre-lighten, this one is just part of the same line as the colors- HTH!

I used your loreal Colo restaurant bleach all over. I used proper as instructed by the included pamphlet. Now it says it will keep from turning copper. It didn't take out the color it strip, & copper

Not for the average user
There was indeed a reason why it was marked down to $1.20. (somewhere else). I left the bleach on for a little over 3 hours. *DONT DO THAT* but i hardly had any lift. Granted I did shampoo my hair 3 days ago, so take that as you will. I'm sure if you know hair and followed the instructions to a tea. You might get it to work.

This stuff works , but if you have thick hair, or shoulder length buy 2 boxes!!! If you want it to work the more you have on your hair the best the results will be.. Bleach works best in the first 20 minutes, more is better less is bad.

No, just no
I knew I was taking a chance with boxed bleach, but this was pretty disappointing. My hair was saturated with this and it somehow came out all splotchy like other reviews. I'm going to the beauty supply store and getting the real stuff.

Did better that expected. I normally would use a different bleacher because I don't like the anemia, parabens, etc. So, I thought I would give it a try. Followed the instructions and it yes, it worked! better than expected. Mind you VERY important, my hair was unwashed for 5 days because I knew I was going to color it this weekend. Also, this is for you hair NOT you scalp. What I did is, after mixing the product as instructed, I poured it in a bowl and used a tinting brush avoiding the scalp. Start a 2-3 millimeters from the root and go from there. My scalp never burned. Another tip, start in the center then go right or left all the way back, then go the opposite side. Don't do one side first and then the other. Final color is magenta. Looks good to me.

Harsh for nothing
I wanted to bleach my hair for a light color. My hair is dark brown I didn't expect it to be like the box model obviously but i basically can say it didn't do anything besides make my scalp burn. I didn't leave it long enough could be the reason why but it was on for atleast 20 30 min for sure I believe that's enough time to do something... Anything. I had to wash it off because I started feeling my scalp start wat I call the feeling of somewhat burning. But besides that I feel it was on long enough to atleast lighten up something.

More then I bargained for
I am a med. brown so I used this to see how I would look with lighter colored hair. Well it worked my hair is almost completely white and light. Unfortunately it also came out by the handfuls.
