A: Thank you for your question. The Stove Knob Covers are made to help prevent the knobs being turned on accidently. Location of knobs should not be an issue, unless they too close to the burner.

A: The Stove Knob Covers do snap open and closed with a tab on the side. The covers can keep someone for accidentally turning the stove knobs, but someone with enough dexterity will be able to open the covers.

Q: Will these work to cover a dishwasher dial?

A: The covers are only designed to fit a stove knob up to 2-5/8" in diameter and 1-3/4" high. The knob needs to be removable to properly install the covers. Depending on the model and style of dial, the covers may work, but we could not guarantee that they will fit correctly.

Prevents oven usage
Installation was quick and easy, and initially I thought everything was great, my toddler could not reach the stove knobs anymore. Then we tried using the oven. The oven door hits the covers and knocks them all off, unless you're able to lift all the knobs with one hand so you can open the oven door with the other. I feel it's only a matter of time until one falls into the oven, and I'm left to try fishing it out while keeping my toddler away from the hot door.

DON'T BUY! Scratched my stove horribly!
I purchased these to prevent our stove from being turned on accidentally. We have no pets or children in our home but our stove is very easily turned on if you bump it. These scratched my brand new stove HORRIBLY! The scratches can't be removed and my new stove is ruined. Don't buy these if you like your appliances!!!! I am beyond mad that there is no warning on the package that this could happen and now my brand new $2000 stove is so ugly!

Truly easy to install, but yes, an inquisitive kid can open it. That said, we've used ours for several years and they do the job. The problem is you must be careful when walking by because if you brush against the plastic cover while open it will snap off.

The 3" diameter covers were hit by the Maytag oven door when it was opened or closed even if the covers were closed. If these covers were 2 1/2" diameter with the same depth, they would be much better. I bought another brand at 2 1/2" diameter but the depth was too short. The oven door wouldn't hit the covers, but the covers wouldn't close over the oven knobs either. In addition to inconvenience, the larger diameter covers eventually broke because the oven door kept on hitting them. It is difficult to lift 5 covers simultaneously when the oven door is opened or closed to prevent the door from hitting them.

Hinge broke before expected end of life
60% of these covers broke within a year. The hinge pin backed out which you can not see and then the torsional loading on the plastic exceeds the fatigue strength and the hinge and hence product fails. When they fail, they can not be repaired. If the pin backs out, they can not be easily re-set into the cover with conventional means available in a typical household.

While I enjoy these in general for safety reasons, it's very annoying that one of the 5 broke for seamingly no reason after only a few weeks. Also, they're annoying to open, but I suppose that's necessary

Does not fit on Samsung Stove
We bought a set about five years ago. One of the hinges recently broke. So I bought another set of five (you cannot buy just one). However, they changed the design (probably because the hinges were breaking). There are two new plastic ridges molded into the interior of the cover on either side of the latch. Because of these two ridges the new covers do not fit over the knobs of a Samsung Stove. I called customer service who told me there is nothing they can do.

They’ll take time to get used to as I’ve already bumped one and knocked the knob off. But this was when the cover was open. Otherwise it works ok. A little big for my stove and kind of hard to open. Okay so these are nice but idk if it’s meant for my stove. They went on well and are easy enough for me to work. My 1 1/2 year old won’t be able to turn the stove knobs but will definitely be able to pull them off if she really wants to. The package the items I ordered came in were very damaged but so is every other package I order off here. That needs to be worked on target!!😡

Annoying to install on Viking stove
There aren’t many options for stove knob covers, so I guess these do the job, but I’m not a huge fan as it was highly inconvenient to install. I have a Viking stove and had to remove all the trim pieces around the knobs in order for these to fit. Now the knobs are wobbly, but at least my kid can’t get to them. Also, I have 6 knobs, so the 5 pack is annoying.

Fit my Samsung gas stove
They fit well on my Samsung gas stove. They were very easy to put on. I cook 2 meals / day on my stove, they seem easy to work around. My son is 15 months, will reach up and spin them around, he can’t open them. I have only had them for a few days but they seem like they will last.

Nothing holds this onto the stove
I assumed there are had to something that adheres this to the stove, but it is the knob itself that is supposed to hold it in place. But apparently my knob is too small, since the cover just hangs there and can spin. This itself wouldn’t be a huge deal since my toddler wouldn’t be able to get to the knob. But when I try and open the cover, I have to push the button pretty hard in and up and the knob itself comes off the stove.
