JENSEN brings back an old favorite with the MCR-100 "shoebox" style Cassette Player/Recorder. The unit includes a top loading cassette deck that both plays and records along with a retractable carrying handle for taking it with you! The unit features easy to use buttons, a one-touch record button, and an automatic voice level control. You can record using the built-in microphone or the included external microphone with handy desk stand. A headphone jack is included for private listening, and you can attach other players to the unit using the auxiliary line-in jack. The MCR-100 operates on four (4) x "C" size batteries (not included) or with the AC adaptor (included).

Q: stupid question, but after your done recording the tape thing can you take the cassette out, (keep in mind I've never used or even seen one of these things until four months ago so I have no idea)

Sleek design and quality
This player is very lightweight (if using without batteries). The design is sleek, not clunky. I am impressed with the speaker quality. So far it is nicely playing cassette tapes that are several decades old! Forget about seeking a vintage player! This one is great!

Poor Quality Cheaply Made Buy Something Else
I bought this to test tapes I sell. It worked ok at first. Quality is going down. Sounds like when the batteries in something is dying out. I'm using it plugged in to electric so not that. Also buttuns very cheap. Feel like they are going to break with any pressure put on them. Used only a handful of times. Too late to return so trash can is where its headed.

But as time are changing, it has been nearly impossible to get a hold of a decent working cassette player. I jumped at the opportunity to own this beauty as not only would it play my beloved tapes, but it also brought me back to my childhood! After playing with this and hearing my works of art mix tapes, I have fallen in love. The Jensen Cassette Player/Recorder is a 90's child dream come true! I would absolutely recommend this!

Just what I needed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I found a bunch of cassette tapes that belong to his mother that passed away. He was so excited when We received the Jensen cassette player. He was able to hear his mom’s voice again thanks to this cassette player. The Jensen cassette player was very easy to use and did not ruin any old cassette tapes. It comes with a power adapter but you can also use 4 c batteries to carry it around. We tried recording settings too and were impressed with the sound quality. I’ve been happy with my Jensen cassette player and would buy again.

Its easy to use and produces fairly decent sound. We mostly use it to record conversations and play make believe:) I recommend it to anyone looking for a little nostalgia and/or to teach the younger generations what it was like before the digitization of the world!

Brings Back Childhood Memories

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive been using JENSEN Cassette Player/Recorder (MCR-100) to record my some of my audio from my classes and i have found it very easy to use. The microphone picks up audio clearly and efficiently and i can make out all of what is being said. Cassettes are still easy to find so i really do find this device to be useful. I reccomend it for note takers especially so you can keep up and pause where you need.

I even found a few old mix tapes that still work! My 4 year old walks around the house recording herself and she has no problem working it. So much fun!! Great product, Great quality Highly recommend!
