Not really their best flavor, it’s bitter sweet and has a dark chocolate taste… if you microwave it then it will have a burnt taste as well, it has small peanut inside

Weird taste
bought these with the current sell, bought the smores and chocolate chip flavor. They were so yummy my kids and husband liked them so much they ate thru them real quick, so I decided to buy more and different flavors. The blueberry, chocolate chip and smores, were yummy BUT this flavor? Gross! It definitely has an acquired taste to it, it's like the cardboard bleeds flavor into the chocolate, I was hoping it would of been a regular pancake dough with peanut butter chunks and chocolate chip, but it's more like brownie cardboard flavor.

Very Disappointing
I thoroughly enjoy and love Kodiak flapjack/pancake mixes. The plain chocolate mix is delicious, but this one? I don't know what happened, but it was horrid. Cooking it had a weird smell, which I thought was the cooking process, as I know sometimes the smells can be offputting. So I gave it the benefit of the doubt, but when I ate it, I can only describe it as vomit. To me, it tasted like you threw up in your mouth and just swallowed it down. Again, I really wanted to like this, I thought maybe it was me... So I waited an hour for it to cool off but it tasted exactly the same, if not worse. It was really disappointing since I know the plain chocolate mix and some other mixes are really tastey. This has been the only one I've been purely disgusted with.

Inedible
I enjoy Kodiak’s oatmeal and decided to try out the flapjack version but it was completely inedible and it immediately went into the trash. Like others mentioned, there’s a weird taste and smell to it before and after cooking. I tried adding syrup to see if that would help the flavor, but nothing can help. They need to take the peanut butter chocolate flavor off the shelf and try again.

It was good, I actually tried it using coconut water to add to it… but ended up needing to add a dash of normal water to top it off. Think the coconut H2O evaporated easier or something. Still very good, will get again.
