These products are formulated to work in both standard and HE machines using the same dosage directions. Our HE formulated laundry detergents can be used in all home washing machines and laundromats. When you see a blue oval symbol with "HE" in the lower right front of the package you will know that it can be used in your HE machine. If the HE symbol is not on the package, it should not be used in HE machines. Seventh Generation does not recommend that you use or adapt any current products you have in your home. We suggest that you not purchase any laundry detergent to use in your HE machines unless it has the HE symbol on the front of the package. We hope this helps!

    New Cap doesn’t work

    I have been using this detergent for years. However the new green dispensing caps do not work. I have to squeeze air from the bottle to get the caps to dispense the amount required for a clean load. Otherwise, it dispenses a very small amount. Love the product, hate the new cap design.

    Love that my kids can use it

    I absolutely love this laundry detergent. It's great for my 10 year olds to be able to do their laundry and not use too much detergent. The scent is nice and not overpowering. It cleans our clothes well and the smell is nice. The packaging is great as well and has been my new go to for a few months now!

    Green Cap = Thumbs Down

    The new green cap easy dose dispensing mechanism is a pain in the booty! Love the detergent, very displeased with the new cap! I replaced my green cap with the white from my previous bottle. I hope it lasts until you bring the white cap mechanism back! : )

    Soap: great; New caps don't work

    We've used this for at least two years. But the last three bottles we've purchased the caps didn't work. I had to dig an old cap out of our trash and swap it out with the new one...the detergent works great, just be sure to keep your old caps until they figure out what's going wrong in the manufacturing process.....

    Rose is the Best Scent!

    I got this one on a whim a few months ago and I am SO in love with the Rose scent! I often opt for unscented detergents because most scented brands are grossly overpowering overpowering, but Seventh Generation knocked this one out of the park! The rose aroma is lovely and subtle. It makes me actually enjoy doing laundry! I just went to buy a new bottle and was bummed to see that this scent is no longer in stock. I hope Seventh Generation brings Rose back soon!

    Please bring this scent (Rose) back. It is PERFECT and deserves a permanent spot on retailers’ shelves. (Please note I am a total snob about scents and this one is gorgeous.) Cleans well, too, which, of course, is VERY important. :-)

    Easy dose does not work

    I did a lot of research before choosing this product. I have only washed one load, and it seemed to be fine. On the second load, one squeeze of liquid detergent seemed to be more than I thought it should be. I measured and had squeezed 1/2 cup. The easy dose was supposed to squeeze out 2 teaspoons. So, if you buy this, you are going to have to figure out your own way of dispensing 2 teaspoons until the company redesigns the bottles.

    This ultra concentrated laundry detergent does a fantastic job cleaning my clothing and leaves a pleasant, faint scent which I prefer. It comes in a smaller bottle and takes up less space in my laundry room. I've repurchased this detergent many times and will continue to do so.

    I love that it has the automatic measuring with the squeeze cap so that I don’t have to measure it out. I also love that the bottle is much smaller and lighter but I get the same number of loads as the big jug because it’s more concentrated. These 2 features are especially handy bedsheets my 12yr old daughter has been learning to do her own laundry and she doesn’t struggle with measuring into the cup and potentially having a spill or worry about it she uses the correct amount because it measures itself and the smaller bottle size is so much easier for her to manage! Would also be great for elderly or disabled that may struggle with the larger jugs or anyone that uses the laundromat and has to transport their soap bottles! It also gets the clothes really clean, doesn’t bother my super sensitive skin kids like other detergents do and leaves the clothes smelling really fresh without smelling too strong!
