A: Thanks for asking about our Lavender Ultra Concentrated Laundry Detergent. Seventh Generation has formulated all of our laundry detergents to work in High Efficiency (HE) washing machines. These products are formulated to work in both standard and HE machines using the same dosage directions. Our HE formulated laundry detergents can be used in all home washing machines and laundromats. When you see a blue oval symbol with "HE" in the lower right front of the package you will know that it can be used in your HE machine. If the HE symbol is not on the package, it should not be used in HE machines. Seventh Generation does not recommend that you use or adapt any current products you have in your home. We suggest that you not purchase any laundry detergent to use in your HE machines unless it has the HE symbol on the front of the package. We hope this helps!

A: All of our Laundry Detergents use enzymes. These can be too strong for some delicate materials. We suggest checking the garment for recommendations for use with or without enzymes. You can use our Dish Liquid for handwashing delicates, this does not have any enzymes in it.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this product works! When they say it’s “ULTRA CONCENTRATED”, they truly mean it! The bottle is much smaller than one would imagine considering we are all programmed to expect a cup or more of product to be used in each use but this isn’t like anything else on the market! This product has an easy squeeze measuring cap that doses out exactly how much you need just with a simple squeeze of the bottle! Doing a larger load, give it 2-3 squeezes! The scent is truly like none other I’ve ever smelled either—when I opened the wash machine door (after running our first load with this), the clean aroma filled our home and smelled like FRESH LAUNDRY!!! Not chemical filled and overpowering like alternative options sold by other brands! This laundry detergent is far greater than anything else our family has ever tried… I am soooo glad I took a leap of faith and bought this on a whim! We will forever be faithful to this brand now because of our extremely positive experience thus far! <3

Easy dose never stops!
I really wanted to love this product- less plastic, great scent, effective but the dispenser does not work. No matter how o hold it and squeeze it, it never stops. I’ve done 3 loads so far and used half the bottle. I will not buy again.

Measured Pouring problem
Have always liked and bought Seven Days laundry detergent. Glad I still had on old bottle before I tried to use this one. Product starts poring out before even straight upside down. One squeeze and it does not stop. Probably my technique is not great, but just poured it into old bottle and will measure into cap as before

Great Detergent; but DO NOT TRUST the squeeze dose
I find that this is as good as other Seventh Generation laundry detergents, which means it works Very Well. I love that it leaves no lingering fragrances or chemical odors. However, the correct "dose" is confusing. When I followed directions and used one squirt of detergent per load, the bottle was being used up much too fast. I measured the dose and found it was a bit more than a full ounce, not the .35 oz. one squeeze was supposed to be. Following the directions would have resulted in getting about 22 loads out of the bottle rather than the 66 advertised on the front! So, I wish this bottle had a normal detergent cap. I'm using a tiny measuring cup that came with a bottle of cough syrup in order to measure the correct amount.

"Easy dose" doesn't work
I wouldn't recemmend specifically because there is no way to measure and the "easy dose" feature doesn't work. This bottle comes with "easy dose" which means we don't have to measure the soap since the bottle automatically does it for us, but it doesn't work. I tried it and the detergent just kept emptying out to the point where a quarter of the bottle was gone. Since this feature doesn't actually work, there must be a measuring cup included.

Worked for me!
I bought about 5 of these on clearance. That was about 1.5 years ago. I have no idea what people are doing but I got incredible mileage out of these and the easy dose worked like a charm. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
