Wont Last.
Quit working at 13 months and Monoprice wont budge on 12 mo warranty. Buyer be ware. Hardly used for 9 months. If one lasting more than 13 months rarely used for 9 is important to you, buy elsewhere.

You are not going to lose
The sound was more than I could hope for, so I got two units. I am going to use the subwoofer from second unit with the first unit with RCA splitter. The satellite speakers and center speakers are perfectly sized, kind of small foot print but put out impressive sound. I watched some action movies and was quite impressed with the sound quality.

Can't be beat especially for the price!!!
I purchased these to run off a Denon 7.2.4 receiver. My room is kind of big so I didn't know if this would be the right purchase to fill the room. I am so glad I took a chance. These sound GREAT, especially for under $250. The sub filled the room and you can definitely feel it, but since I like overkill and the receiver has 2 sub outs, I wanted another one. I scoured the Monoprice page and even called just to find out that they do not sell this sub individually so when the price of the entire system dropped to $161 I purchased another. Now I have 2 subs that sound GREAT and extra speaker for a future upgrade. DEFINITELY worth the small investment!!!!!

Great first 5.1.4 system. I had a 12" sub so I'm using that with the four atmos speakers

Shockingly good!
I moved recently and didn't want to cut holes in my plaster in the historical home that I moved into, but desperately missed the 7.1 walls and ceiling setup I had previously, so I thought I would use these speakers as a stopgap, and I am delighted with how well they fill my room with clear, crisp sound. I'm currently running my setup as 5.2.2, as I had an extra powered sub, and don't have enough channels on my receiver to run the other two atmos upward firing speakers, but it exceeds my expectations--by a lot! I"m not an audiophile, but they sound really good. I was worried when the center channel speaker was smaller than expected, but dialog is clear and easy to hear, and it all just works great. I wish they could accept a banana plug for the connection, but beyond that, they are really pretty awesome! I picked up the 4 wire speaker wire for hooking up the fronts and backs so I didn't have as many wires strewn around, and recommend you do the same.

Great.. but.
It works great, but the subwoofer only has l/r rca or wired inputs. Instead of what my receiver has as preamp output. I attempted to connect them to the zone 2 output, but that still doesn?t work, so I?ll have to get a y splitter for the single out sub ports. The speaker mount stands sold on the site don?t fit these speakers, so I have to modify them to work. Rather than pay for shipping back. I didn?t see any other stands on the site. So figured they?d work together, maybe have an adapter plate for your bigger speakers to mount by.

TV surround sound speakers only I do not use them to listen to music so I can't comment on that
I'm not an audio file but these speakers sound good to me I'm the average listener. I have read that these are only for smaller rooms but they sit in my living room . My living room is 23 x 18 not a small room by any means

More than you can believe of great sound.
Sounded good before the break-in period and I really love them now. Replace the old giant sound monitors with these accurate little gems. The subwoofer will more than do the job.

Sounded great for 16 months
I've bought a number of things from Monoprice and never had an issue until this speaker set. I've had it for about 16-17 months and suddenly, four days ago, the sub began making a horrible fluttering sound when the volume got above 50% and the center channel is now fading. As a result, we now have to keep the sub turned down low in order to have any bass and the front satellite speakers generate most of the dialogue. Sadly, as it's been a bit over a year, we are out of luck and will now have to save up to get a decent speaker set from another vendor.

Can't recommend...
I can't really say good things about this speaker set. One of the speakers has distortion, so Monoprice is honoring the warranty, but making me bend over backwards for it. Instead of just sending back the defective speaker, they are forcing me to send every speaker back, including the 20 pound subwoofer. Its not easy to find a reinforced box strong enough to carry that much weight.....46 pounds in total. Monoprice knows this, so their way of getting out of honoring the warranty is to make RMAing it as difficult as possible. Many people would just give up.

Outstanding Small System
This is a perfect setup for my medium sized living room. The sound is very good for the price which is reasonable in the extreme. Everything is extremely well constructed (the packaging as well was really good.) The exterior design is very minimalist and that is exactly what I prefer. I’d rather as much energy out into manufacturing a great speaker & not on making a mediocre speaker “look good” (whatever that is varies from person to person). And this way they enhance rather than distract from the room’s decor. My one quibble is small: there’s a well-thought out toggle switch for the subwoofer (Off/On/Auto) which unfortunately is on the back of the cabinet which makes for a very difficult reset. Now i just need to find a good receiver that pumps out some Dolby Atmos channel sound cause these speakers are for that.

Great sound Great price upfiring speakers are the most economical way to go
great immersive sound with my 7.2 receiver may have to upgrade to 9.2 channel receiver so to get 5.2.4 sound. reason I didn't give it 5 stars because I don't see a way to mount the satellite speakers on the wall but yes for inexpensive Dolby Atmos speakers I would recommend this speaker set

Perfect bedroom Atmos
Superb for the money. Better than Vizio 5.1.2 soundbar setup. Save money on speakers and buy a 5.1.4 receiver instead of 5.1.2.

Excellent Budget Atmos Setup
Great speakers for a budget Atmos home theatre if you can't get into your ceiling to run cable. Slight lowlight is the mounting bracket on the center speaker pulled right out of the back of the speaker when trying to loosen it from an under-TV mount to adjust the bracket. The nut holding the mounting bolt inside the speaker is rolling around inside the speaker box now, and I'll likely need to try an Epoxy to reattach the bracket to the speaker so I can mount it again Otherwise, my only quibble with them would be the lack of shielding to isolate sounds coming from the forward facing speaker vs the up-firing speaker. Rather than having the top of the speakers on an angle to match the immersion speaker angle, it would be better to square them off at the front so that there's at least a little wall forcing the immersion speakers to fire up without sound creeping forwards, to really distinguish that the audio is coming from above. As for the sub, it's probably the highlight. Even at volumes low enough for my 4 year old to comfortably watch a Disney movie, when there's some action and bass going, I can feel the vibration of the sub standing 10 feet away. I ran cables for 2 subs at some point in the future, but with the power this one gives out, I don't think I need a second one to fill my space (want is another story). I wish Monoprice sold this sub as an individual item, I'd honestly consider getting this set again on sale in the future just to get another sub and sell the speakers.

Vastly underrated!
I have a 15x18 living room that I installed this in. This setup is paired with a Denon X3600H (9.2) receiver, and it shakes my entire house! These speakers are not yet broken in, so they will only continue to get better and better! More than plenty of sound for any 450 sq ft or less space! The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars is because the mount holes on the back are NOT standard 1/4 x 20 - they were M6 metric.

Good sound for a great price
For the price, these speakers do the job. They sound pretty good and are a fraction of the price of other brands
