We have tried many different baby gates in our past to try and fit different spaces and situations, and this one is right in line with our favorites! I love that it is sturdy and medal, always a for sure when choosing a gate for me. I also love that there is a door opening that is easy to figure out but not easy enough for toddlers to wiggle through themselves. This is certainly a gate that won’t be destroyed quickly by pets or kids!

I have 2 little children in our house and having a gait to block them from exiting our back porch is amazing! Install was very simple and the gait itself is a nice sturdy metal. I like that I can adjust this to as wide as 40” to block an entry way and keep my family safe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 5 Stars – Very sturdy and reliable hallway gate We’ve been really happy with the ToddlerRoo pressure-mounted gate. It’s much sturdier than the one we replaced — our toddler can shake it without it budging. The included little hardware wrench for tightening the knobs was surprisingly handy and made installation easier. The only challenge was getting the extension pieces fully in during setup; a rubber mallet helped, but a note about that in the instructions would’ve been nice. Overall, highly recommend it for hallways or areas where you need a gate that won’t fall over, like before a set of stairs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I think the instructions were not specific enough. The pictures were a bit difficult to decipher in terms of installation. I wedged the little spacers in and out multiple times, just trying to figure out how to add the additional extenders on. I do appreciate that you are able to add and remove the extra portions because I have different sized openings throughout my home and I may not always just use it for the stairs. The top of my stairs is a bit odd because it has a wall on one side and a railing on the other. I measured the dimensions correctly but the top railing sticks out higher than the bottom molding so it took some fiddling with the adjustable knobs to get it just right. It’s very snug once you figure it out. You can my almost 2-year-old son pulling on it. The true test of durability in my house is letting my son get at it-he couldn’t open it and couldn’t knock it out of the opening. I have had other gates that are spring-loaded that don’t end up staying in place and defeat the purpose. Others have gate openers that are too easy for babies or too difficult for others to use. My 5-year-old daughter is able to wake up and go downstairs in the morning without help. The bottom portion of the gate is not cumbersome either and you can easily step through the gate- even with a full laundry basket! Overall, I’d highly recommend this baby gate. Maybe others can figure out the directions faster than I can!

The 22” wide door makes it super convenient to walk through, and the auto-close feature works perfectly every time. I especially love the glow-in-the-dark handle — such a thoughtful detail for nighttime. The design is simple and blends nicely with our home décor. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable and safe baby gate!

Broke after 5 months of use. Not worth the money.

We were thrilled with this gate at first, but it broke after a year of normal use. The warranty, not so coincidentally, is for a year. I expected it to last longer for the price.

The gate worked for me in a narrow spot. The opening was 29 inches wide. I would have used another spot but it required the extensions .I found the directions impossible to follow and the illustrations were illegible. I gave up!!! The gate itself is well built, sturdy and does the job. I needed it to keep my newly adopted dog and cats apart. The gate swings both ways which is very helpful.

I spent hours researching, installing and returning several other baby gates before finding this one, which is PERFECT. Things that didn't work for others: too thin opening, not auto-close, swung through (which isn't good for top of stairs), too tall colliding with basement stairs, width options didn't fit hallway, pressure knobs didn't fit inside extenders (required since there is molding on the bottom). In the end, this gate has the following which I love: auto-close AND stay open at 90 degrees, can prevent swing through on either side, fits extender, sturdy, wide gate, and the glow in the dark feature is a nice reminder for visitors that may not know its there. Hopefully, my review can help YOU save time on your search for the perfect gate!

Works great but it’s hard to install without 2 people

Worked well. Was worried there was a defect when it arrived but the instructions clearly state the gap is normal prior to setup. The gate fit perfectly and set up as pictured in advertisement.

Assembly has been impossible due to a defective design. In order to add the extenders, you have to remove plugs from the central gate portion. These plugs are then reinserted into the extender and used for the fasteners. The plugs are made of exceptionally soft plastic, and the two lower plugs are designed such that you can partially pull them out with a flathead screwdriver, but that is it. They become stuck. In the process of trying to remove 1 plug, it was destroyed, and is still stuck in the gate. The plug on the other side is identical, and just as stuck as the first, although it has not been destroyed. I have reached out to the company's customer service. We'll see how they respond.

I’m 3 kids in and wish I would have found this baby gate sooner. It’s changed my life. It’s not hard for my 7 and 9 year old to open. I love the self closing feature for when my older two forget. The glow in the dark handle is a great addition. It swings either direction, and also has a locking feature to where it can only swing one way or not open at all. It also has a feature where if you need to carry something through the gate you just open the gate all the way and it stays propped open. Oh and I almost forgot to mention it’s super easy to install. Definitely worth every penny!

I had bought 3 different brands of gates. This is the only one that was truly sturdy. She climbs on it, and it doesn’t move! My husband loves that it closes on its own but can be propped open as well!

This gate is amazing, but oh my god... this was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to put together. It took me four hours to put this gate up properly. But it was absolutely worth it if you don’t mind a lot of muscle use
