Listen to his podcast, that’s how I found this book. He didn’t advertise it, I just wanted to learn more about him. Found out he wrote a book, ordered it, and an Still reading. About 1/3 way in and I feel like I learned a lot. Really inspired me to be mindful of my diet/ lifestyle.

Thorough, well researched, entertaining, transformative
Shawn Stevenson wrote a well researched reference to teach the reader how to incorporate individualized habits based on science to achieve health, wellness, and optimum benefit from the foods we eat. He urges us to know ourselves, to be consistent (but not neurotic), and to practice healthy personalized habits starting “today“ moving forward each day toward a future of great health and a better version of ourselves. I’m grateful to Shawn Stevenson for his dedication to humanity and his tireless effort to promote the science of health to the benefit of all who choose to apply the principles. This book has it all. Humor. (Hard) Truth. Soul. Motivation. Intelligence. Modesty. It’s the best eating plan because Shawn lays it all down with science. It is basically Eat real food, mostly vegetables, but with more swag!

Shawn Stevenson hit it out of the park with this book! Hands down one of the best books I have ever read on nutrition! Shawn takes complicated nutrition science and makes it entertaining , fun , and easy to understand. I just love his sense of humor and all of his pop culture references. He always finds the perfect way to blend it all together to make learning fun! Shawn always brings a smile to my face . The information in this book is well research and you can easily start applying all his golden nuggets of knowledge to your life right now. Shawn makes it so easy to find simple ways to start changing up your nutrition to improve your life. At the end of the book He even includes a 30 day program to help you jumpstart on your goals. Some delicious recipes included too !! I highly recommend this book !! I wish I could give it more stars than 5 ! This is just the book you need to start 2021 on a path to improving your overall health and wellness! You will not regret it !!!

This Book is the Game
This book isn't going to change the game in health and wellness when it comes to food and nutrition. This book is the game. While the book is a little over 400 pages there has to be atleast 40000 peer reviewed studies and research articles cited in this book. The author Shawn Stevenson has literally put his heart and soul into this book and you feel it coming off the page as you read through each mind blowing sentence. This book is funny as it captures Shawns personality as he references so much pop culture but it is also extremely powerful and I believe the ultimate resource you need in your tool belt for a healthy and prosperous life.

If You Care About Your Health, You NEED This Book
This is a complete, well-thought, and entertaining guide that will teach you all about food and how eating certain foods WILL help you reach your health goals, whether it is to lose weight, have more energy, have greater focus and clarity, and just be able to do more with your life. It's all about the food! Don't worry about lots of rules and unrealistic expectations. You will learn what to add to your diet more so than what to eliminate. "Food does provide fuel, but it's also meant to be enjoyed". I've highlighted all over my copy of this book and purchased more to give to my family. I am recommending it to all of my functional nutrition clients and colleagues. It is just that important! If you read one health and wellness book in 2020, make sure it is this one! As you read this book, it truly feels like a labor of love. Shawn Stevenson is a beast when it comes to RESEARCHING FACTS based in science. I believe nearly every single page of this book references at least one study that proves the information he is sharing. Shawn truly wants to help as many people as possible get out of this mess of fake foods that we are living in today. And his charm is apparent through his writing style. Yes, there is a lot of science, but it is lightened up with loads of pop culture references and metaphors to keep you hooked and reading. If I haven't already made it apparent, this book holds really, really important information for anyone that eats anything. No one diet is for everyone but everyone has their own unique diet. Shawn helps you navigate throughout this book, including a 30 Day Plan to get you started.

A master class on how food impacts your whole life!
Eat Smarter goes beyond the typical health book because it reveals why your body works the way it does when it comes to food. It explains exactly how fat loss (or gain) occurs and what foods contribute to it. When you are equipped with this kind of knowledge, you become more motivated to eat well because you know what happens to your body when you don’t! The perfect health and wellness roadmap
This is the only health and wellness book you need. I’ve had many “aha” moments and learned tons of impactful wellness tips that can be easily implemented. And the level of laughs and entertainment that have come from these pages are unreal. I mean, anyone that can reference Beyoncé at Coachella or Samuel L Jackson in a health book is going to keep you entertained. Nutrition Bible
Book review Eat Smarter Eat Smarter is a nutrition Bible with so much information. It is well researched. Many many studies are mentioned which help us know that Shawn Stevenson spent a lot of time researching. One can read about all the different kinds of fat in body. All the hormones that effect fat loss. Many ways for best fat loss. But, also how food effects your brain, emotions, immunity, environment and well being. This book is full of gems. There are so many easy to implement food changes. I really love how Shawn injects his own struggles with food and nutrition. He also has many humorous remarks and references to many truly human experiences. There is a 30 day food plan along with some delicious recipes. Bacon -Ranch Buffalo-Chicken Casserole is a favorite. Great buy and a book I will continue to reference for many years.
