Q: Is the main standard bulb a 3-way switch? i.e. does it go from 50, 100 to 150? or just 150? Also, is the LED replaceable? Sounds like it with the pins.

A: Hi - no, these designs do not have a 3-way socket or switch, though you can use a bulb wattage up to a maximum of 150 watts. And on your other question, the bulbs for the LED gooseneck arm lights are replaceable. Thank you for asking!

A: You need 1 standard bulb per lamp. The reading lamp part comes with it's own LED bulb. It has pins on base rather than standard screw in.

Setting them up on the nightstands, it appears they are not designed for the R and L sides, meaning that the on/off switch, cord, goose neck light, don't match in terms of placement. Because they are sold in a pair, you'd think they would.

But I would have thought that since they are only sold in pairs, that they might be actually built to sit on opposite nightstands. In other words, mirror image, with the reading lights on the inside and the plugs on the back. As it is, one sits straight and the other sits kattywampus in order for the reading light to be useful. Else, why insist on selling as a pair?

We discovered these while staying in a relative's guest room, loved them, and bought a pair for ourselves. We love the dual light option - great for later night readers. The style is very versatile. We first saw them in a room with "western" decor but they look great in our traditional bedroom as well.

Bronze Gooseneck LED Lamps
I am pretty happy with these lamps. The gooseneck is nice for reading or mood lighting. I have them in a vacation rental and they seem pretty sturdy. The shades are a bit bigger than I am use to but I am getting use to the look.
