I’ve used these to store coffee, grains, and even to make ahead large jars of overnight oats or chia pudding. The seal feels secure enough that I trust it to keep food safe. These seem well made and sturdy and I’m hoping they’ll last a while!

Love how vintage and sturdy it feels the clamp lid keeps everything fresh, and it looks so nice on the counter. It is a bit heavy and hand-wash only, but honestly, it’s worth it. Makes my kitchen feel super cozy...

The clamp bail grinds on the molder glass retaining rim and drops SHARDS and FINE GLASS DUST! I swapped out 26 plastic containers for glass jars....bad move. Although plastic isn't good for you, glass is even worse to ingest. These jars are a hazard.

I've been using this jar for about 5 months to hold sugar. But today when I closed it, I felt something sharp fling off and hit the palm of the hand that was closing the latch. When I looked at the latch, I saw that a large chunk of the jar had broken off and shattered into multiple pieces, which I found around my coffee mug that I'd just used the sugar in. I had to throw out my coffee since I didn't know if any glass had landed in it. I also noticed a fine dust under the latch too where the metal clamp hits when it closes. So I dont know how much glass I've been accidentally eating from this thing, but it's going in the trash asap. TLDR Dont buy unless you want to start eating glass shards!

I love that the lids are attached by a hinge. No screw on lids. They have a hinge. I use these jars to make homemade vanilla
